The Wind Waker includes the races that you can expect in any other Zelda game, and then some. This page is here to help you better understand what their position is and where they are from.

Hylian - The race of which Princess Zelda and The King of Hyrule or from. Those that have played The Legend of Zelda to Ocarina of Time will most likely be familiar with this race.

Gerudo - The race of that Ganon is of, who is said to be the only Gerudo that exists.

Gods - 4 gods in all, and they all help you throughout the game.

Gorons - Another familiar race. These rock eating people are merchants in this game and are endangered (only 3 or 4 in the game).

Korok Tribe - Some new faces, these "people" are "the children of The Forest Haven," being raised by The Great Deku Tree.

Rito Tribe - People, or rather, birds, of this race can be found on Dragon Roost Island. They are destined to fly, recieving wings from the dragon of Dragon Roost Island.

Zora - Again, a familiar race, but in this game, sadly, they are extinct, and only the spirit of one long ago remains.
