The “A Rift in the Faron Wetlands” quest begins as Zelda enters the Faron Wetlands region after the events of “Lands of the Goddesses”. The main objective is to mend the large rift that has appeared in this lush, swampy area. This quest involves navigating the dense jungle, interacting with the Deku Scrubs, and ultimately venturing into the Stilled Faron Wetlands to restore balance.
How to Complete A Rift in the Faron Wetlands Main Quest
Upon arriving in the Faron Wetlands, Zelda needs to travel eastward through the overgrown jungle to reach Scrubton, the village of the Deku Scrubs. She soon discovers that a large door leading to the main rift, located at the north of the village in an area called the Sweet Spot, is inaccessible without a Membership Card. Zelda’s search for the card leads her southeast of Scrubton to a group of Deku Scrubs near a smaller rift at Heart Lake.
Clearing this Stilled Heart Rift involves finding and freeing Tri’s friends. Despite this act, the Deku Scrubs are initially unwilling to part with their Membership Card. Zelda then encounters Blossu, a Deku Scrub whose house has been engulfed by a rift. Entering the Stilled Blossu’s House Rift and rescuing Tri’s friends restores Blossu’s home. However, this angers the other Deku Scrubs, who imprison Zelda.
Zelda must then orchestrate a stealthy escape from the Deku Scrub Prison, retrieving her Tri Rod in the process. Upon her escape, Blossu, grateful for the restoration of their home, will finally give Zelda their Membership Card, granting her access to the Sweet Spot. Returning to Scrubton, Zelda can now enter the Sweet Spot, where the main rift awaits. After dealing with some dark enemies, Tri will create an opening into the Stilled Faron Wetlands. Navigating this Stilled World involves traversing webbing, defeating enemies, and extinguishing walls of flame using the Drippitune Echo. This journey ultimately leads Zelda to the entrance of the Faron Temple, the dungeon associated with this region, which she must complete to mend the rift.
