How the Bomber’s Notebook Works

The Bomber’s Notebook is one of the most useful tools in Majora’s Mask because so many side quests depend on being in the right place at the right time. Once Link receives the notebook, it begins tracking certain people around Termina, their schedules, and the promises or tasks connected to them.

Each notebook entry represents a character or group involved in a side quest. Some entries are simple and can be completed in a few minutes, while others are part of longer quest chains that stretch across multiple days. The Anju and Kafei quest, for example, connects several notebook characters together and requires careful timing across the full three-day cycle.

The notebook is especially helpful because Majora’s Mask resets many world events whenever Link plays the Song of Time. Masks, songs, bottles, important items, and major rewards are kept, but the people of Termina return to the beginning of their schedules. This means a failed or missed notebook event is usually not gone forever. You can restart the cycle and try again with better timing.

Before working through the entries below, it helps to keep a few things in mind:
