The “Chaos at River Zora Village” quest begins in the aftermath of Lord Jabu-Jabu’s destructive rampage at Crossflows Plaza. The main objective is to mend the Stilled Upper Zora River rift and rescue the River Zora Chief, Dradd, who has been swallowed by the rift while saving a child.
How to Complete the Chaos at River Zora Village Main Quest
To begin, Zelda must travel north to River Zora Village, where she will find the Sea Zora Chief, Kushara, and a young River Zora near a newly opened rift. Tri will create an entrance to the Stilled Upper Zora River. Inside the rift, Zelda needs to locate and free five groups of Tri’s friends to restore the area:
From the entrance, head west to find the first group in the water. Return to the entrance and travel southeast, swimming up a pool and leaping down to find the second group. Continue northeast and enter a cave. Defeat the glowing Tektite to save the third group. At the bottom of the cave, use a Bombfish Echo (a Bombfish can be found in the cave if needed) to destroy a cracked block, revealing the fourth group.
Outside the cave, use echoes to climb up and head west to find the stilled form of Dradd with the final group of Tri’s friends nearby. Once all five groups of Tri’s friends are found, the rift will mend, and Dradd will be rescued.

The enemies encountered within the Stilled Upper Zora River rift include:
