Day 1: Dawn of the First Day – 72 Hours Remain
Introduction to Clock Town: After the initial cutscene, you’ll arrive in South Clock Town. Tatl, your new fairy companion, suggests seeking out the Great Fairy for assistance.
Visit the Great Fairy: Head to North Clock Town by taking the path behind the Clock Tower. The Great Fairy’s Fountain is located up a small ramp in this area. Upon entering, the shattered Great Fairy will request that you find her missing Stray Fairy to restore her form.
Locate the Stray Fairy:
- During the Day: The Stray Fairy can be found in the Laundry Pool area. To reach it, return to South Clock Town and take the southwestern exit. The fairy floats above the water; as Deku Link, you can hop across the water to retrieve it.
- At Night: The Stray Fairy appears in East Clock Town, hovering in the central area. Use the nearby Deku Flower to launch yourself and collect it.
Restore the Great Fairy: Return the Stray Fairy to the fountain in North Clock Town. The Great Fairy will reward you by granting the ability to shoot bubbles, a skill essential for upcoming tasks.
Meet the Bombers Gang: In North Clock Town, you’ll notice a boy named Jim attempting to pop a balloon with a familiar face. Use your newly acquired bubble ability to pop the balloon. Impressed, Jim will invite you to play a hide-and-seek game with his friends.
Bomber’s Hide-and-Seek:
The Bombers are hidden across Clock Town:
- North Clock Town: One Bomber hides in the northeast corner.
- East Clock Town: Another is on the roof of the Stock Pot Inn; use the Deku Flower to reach him.
- South Clock Town: A Bomber hides inside a crate near the center.
- West Clock Town: Find one near the top area, close to the Post Office.
- Laundry Pool: The last Bomber is near the water, hiding under a box.
After finding all five, they’ll provide you with a secret code to access their hideout.
Access the Bomber’s Hideout: In East Clock Town, approach the guard blocking the tunnel entrance and provide the code. Proceed through the passage, being cautious of the Skulltula lurking within. Use your bubble attack to defeat it.
Visit the Astral Observatory: At the end of the tunnel, you’ll find the Astral Observatory. Speak with Professor Shikashi and use the telescope to observe the Skull Kid atop the Clock Tower. Witnessing this will cause a Moon’s Tear to fall nearby.
Collect the Moon’s Tear: Exit the observatory to find the glowing Moon’s Tear outside. This item will be essential for the upcoming trade.
Day 2: Dawn of the Second Day – 48 Hours Remain
Trade for the Land Title Deed: Return to South Clock Town and locate the Business Scrub near the Deku Flower. Offer him the Moon’s Tear in exchange for the Land Title Deed. This trade grants you access to the Deku Flower.
Obtain a Piece of Heart: Use the Deku Flower to launch onto the ledge above the Clock Tower entrance, where a Piece of Heart awaits.
Day 3: Dawn of the Final Day – 24 Hours Remain
Prepare for the Carnival: With limited time left, consider depositing any rupees at the bank in West Clock Town. The banker can be found sitting on a counter in the area. Depositing rupees ensures they aren’t lost when time resets.
Enter the Clock Tower: At midnight, a cutscene will showcase the Clock Tower opening for the Carnival of Time. Use the Deku Flower to reach the entrance and ascend to confront the Skull Kid.
Retrieve the Ocarina of Time: Confront the Skull Kid atop the Clock Tower. Use your bubble attack to make him drop the Ocarina of Time. Collecting it triggers a memory of Princess Zelda teaching Link the Song of Time.
Play the Song of Time: After the memory, play the Song of Time to return to the dawn of the first day, resetting the three-day cycle.
Post-Transformation: Returning to Human Form
Meet the Happy Mask Salesman: Upon returning to the first day, descend the stairs in the Clock Tower to meet the Happy Mask Salesman. He will teach you the Song of Healing, which restores Link to his human form and grants you the Deku Mask.
Acquire the Bombers’ Notebook: As human Link, exit the Clock Tower. Jim will approach and invite you to join the Bombers. Successfully completing their hide-and-seek challenge again will reward you with the Bombers’ Notebook, a valuable tool for tracking quests and character schedules.
Obtain the Great Fairy Mask: Locate the Stray Fairy in Clock Town (during the day at the Laundry Pool or at night in East Clock Town) and return it to the Great Fairy in North Clock Town. She will reward you with the Great Fairy Mask, which aids in collecting stray fairies in dungeons.
Acquire the Bomb Bag: Visit the Bomb Shop in West Clock Town to purchase the Bomb Bag
