Oracle of Ages

The Oracle games mark a first for the Legend of Zelda series. Both games, released on the same day, are linkable and each feature a unique antagonist not seen in any other Zelda game. The gameplay is almost identical to Link’s Awakening but the stories are all very different. Each Oracle prologue begins with Link riding on horseback to a mysterious temple and then being whisked off to a new land by the Triforce.

In Oracle of Ages, Link finds himself in the region of Labrynna. He finds Nayru, the Oracle of Ages but then Veran, the Sorceress of Shadows reveals herself for mere moments. To possess Nayru, and escape to the past through a portal made with the Oracles powers, to alter the course of history. Link must save Labrynna with the Harp of Ages to guide him to that distant past. Will Link be able to stop the eventual construction of the Black Tower? Or will he have to battle this baddie old-school style?

Main Quest Walkthrough: Gathering the Essences of Time

1. Lynna City & Yoll Graveyard (Prologue to Spirit’s Grave) – Discover the Seed Satchel, unlock the Graveyard Key, and prepare for your first dungeon.
2. Spirit’s Grave – Level 1 Dungeon – Complete the first dungeon and defeat Pumpkin Head.
3. Western Woods & Wing Dungeon – Level 2 – Navigate the Fairies’ Woods, gather Mystery Seeds, and conquer the Wing Dungeon.
4. Crescent Island (Tokay Trading Sequence) – Recover your stolen gear from the Tokay and prepare for the Moonlit Grotto.
5. Moonlit Grotto – Level 3 Dungeon – Solve the minecart puzzle and face Shadow Hag in this crystal-filled dungeon.
6. Symmetry Village (Restoring Symmetry & Tuni Nut Quest) – Repair the Tuni Nut and stabilize the volcano to restore balance to Symmetry Village.
7. Skull Dungeon – Level 4 – Master the Switch Hook, tile puzzles, and defeat Eyesoar.
8. Rolling Ridge & Crown Dungeon – Level 5 – Help the Gorons, retrieve the Crown Key, and defeat Smog.
9. Mermaid’s Cave – Level 6 (Past & Present) – Unlock and complete the dual-timeline Mermaid’s Cave and defeat Octogon.
10. Zora Village & Fairy Powder (Accessing Jabu-Jabu) – Cure King Zora’s curse and gain access to Lord Jabu-Jabu.
11. Jabu-Jabu’s Belly – Level 7 Dungeon – Traverse underwater puzzles and defeat Plasmarine.
12. Ambi’s Palace (Rescuing Nayru) – Sneak past palace guards and confront Veran to rescue Nayru.
13. Ancient Tomb – Level 8 (Final Dungeon) – Collect the four Jewels, solve advanced puzzles, and defeat Ramrock.
14. Black Tower & Final Battle (Veran Final Boss) – Ascend the Black Tower and face Veran’s final multi-phase battle.

Side Quests & Collectibles

• Heart Pieces: Locations of all 12 Pieces of Heart scattered across Labrynna’s Past and Present.
• Magical Rings: Collecting and appraising all available rings via Vasu Jewelers (found in chests, Gasha Nuts, mini-games, secrets, linked game).
• Gasha Seed Planting Locations: Finding all soft soil spots to plant Gasha Seeds for potential rare items and rings.
• Item Trading Sequence: Completing the 13-step trading quest (Poe Clock to Goron Vase) to obtain the Noble Sword (L-2).
• Animal Companion Choice: Securing the permanent friendship of Ricky, Dimitri, or Moosh and obtaining their respective flute (location dependent).
