The Tower of Hera is a vertically challenging dungeon that tests your mastery of the Hammer and wall-merging abilities. Here’s a detailed walkthrough to guide you through each floor:
First Floor (1F): Upon entering, you’ll notice smiling face tiles on the ground. Equip your Hammer and pound these tiles; when they pop back up, they act as springboards, launching you to higher platforms. Proceed to the crystal switches that control the blue and red barriers. Striking a switch toggles the barriers’ positions, altering the dungeon’s layout. Navigate through the room by manipulating these switches to create accessible paths. In the northwest corner, use a springboard to reach an upper platform. From there, merge into the wall and move counter-clockwise to access a series of springboards that will elevate you to the second floor.
Second Floor (2F): On this floor, head to the western side and utilize another springboard to ascend to the third floor.
Third Floor (3F): Here, you’ll encounter a central platform with a Small Key, seemingly out of reach. Merge into the northern wall to reach a crystal switch in the northwest corner, which lowers the blue barriers. Stand on the lowered red tiles, then hit the switch again to raise them, lifting you to the central platform where you can collect the Small Key. Use this key to unlock the eastern door and proceed.
Fourth Floor (4F): You’ll find yourself outside the tower on a narrow ledge. Wait for the moving platform and ride it around the tower, fending off any crows that approach. When you encounter a wall obstructing your path, merge into it and slide around to continue. On the western side, two moving platforms are present; ignore them for now and ride the platform to the northwest balcony. From there, merge into the tower wall and transfer onto one of the moving platforms to ascend to the fifth floor.
Fifth Floor (5F): This floor features crystal switches and barriers. Manipulate the switches to navigate the room and access a chest containing a Blue Rupee. Notice the window on the eastern wall; ensure the blue barriers are lowered, stand on them, then hit the crystal switch to raise the barriers, allowing you to merge into the wall and slip through the window to the seventh floor.
Seventh Floor (7F): Defeat the enemies here using your Hammer. In the northwest corner, you’ll find a cracked floor. Use the Hammer to break it and drop down to the sixth floor, landing on an upper ledge. Collect the Big Key from the chest, then return to the seventh floor and unlock the door to proceed.
Ninth Floor (9F): Utilize the springboards to ascend to the boss chamber.
Boss Battle: Moldorm
Moldorm is a large, worm-like creature with a vulnerable red orb at the end of its tail. The battle takes place on a platform surrounded by pits, so caution is essential. Approach Moldorm carefully, aiming to strike its tail while avoiding contact with its body, which can knock you off the platform. After each successful hit, Moldorm increases in speed and aggression, making the fight progressively more challenging. If you’re knocked off, you’ll land on a lower floor but can quickly return to the arena. Maintain your focus, and after several hits to its tail, Moldorm will be defeated, rewarding you with a Heart Container and the Pendant of Power.
With the Pendant of Power in hand, you’re now one step closer to obtaining the Master Sword and thwarting the evil threatening Hyrule.
