With the Master Sword in hand, you’re now ready to confront the challenges within Hyrule Castle. Here’s a detailed, step-by-step guide to assist you through this pivotal segment of your journey.
Dispelling the Barrier:
Upon reaching Hyrule Castle’s entrance, you’ll encounter a dark magical barrier blocking your path. Draw the Master Sword and strike the barrier to dispel it, granting you access to the castle’s interior.
Navigating the Castle Interior:
First Floor: Enter the main hall and ascend either the left or right staircase to the battlements. Cross the battlements and re-enter the castle through the central door to commence your ascent. Second Floor: In the ensuing room, you’ll face a formidable Ball and Chain Soldier. This enemy swings a massive ball and chain weapon, posing a significant threat. To overcome him, wait for an opening between his attacks, then rush in to deliver sword strikes. Alternatively, using the Tornado Rod can stun him momentarily, providing a window to attack. Once defeated, proceed through the eastern door. Third Floor: Here, you’ll encounter a room filled with various soldiers. Clear all enemies to unlock the doors. Notably, there’s a Spear Soldier positioned on a ledge who can hurl spears at you. To reach him, merge into the wall using your wall-merging ability and navigate to his position. After eliminating all foes, continue through the southwestern door. Fourth Floor: As you enter, a cutscene will unfold where Yuga confronts Princess Zelda, ultimately transforming her into a painting. After the scene, Yuga will summon additional soldiers to impede your progress. Defeat these adversaries to unlock the path forward. Ascend the stairs to the next level. Fifth Floor: Navigate through the corridors, dealing with any enemies that cross your path. Be cautious of soldiers equipped with bombs; use your shield to deflect their attacks or eliminate them swiftly. Continue ascending until you reach the rooftop. Rooftop: On the rooftop, make your way to the central area where Yuga awaits. Prepare yourself for the ensuing confrontation.
Boss Battle: Yuga
In the throne room, Yuga will make a dramatic entrance, capturing Princess Zelda by transforming her into a painting. He will then challenge you to a battle.
Phase 1
Yuga will split into three identical copies, merging into the walls. To identify the real Yuga, observe the behavior of each copy; the genuine Yuga will not summon additional enemies when attacked. Approach each copy and strike; if it’s a fake, it will transform into a soldier. Once you locate the real Yuga, focus your attacks on him.
Phase 2
After sustaining damage, Yuga will increase his aggression. He may summon lightning bolts or create fire that circles the room. Maintain mobility to avoid these attacks. Continue the strategy of identifying and attacking the real Yuga until he is defeated. Upon defeating Yuga, a mysterious fissure will appear on the wall behind the throne. Approach it and use your wall-merging ability to enter, transporting you to the parallel world of Lorule.
