Swords

Wooden Sword (L−1)
Link’s initial weapon in Labrynna.
How to Obtain: Entrusted to him by Impa shortly after arriving in Labrynna near Nayru’s location.

Noble Sword (L−2)
A significantly stronger sword, identifiable by its golden hilt. When Link is at full health, it can fire powerful sword beams.
How to Obtain: Typically obtained as the ultimate reward for completing the lengthy Trading Sequence (trading the Goron Vase to Biggoron). It can alternatively be obtained via a linked game secret from Oracle of Seasons if not earned through the trading sequence first.
Shields

Wooden Shield (L−1)
Blocks simple projectiles like rocks and arrows but is vulnerable to fire and stronger attacks. Can be eaten by Like Likes!
How to Obtain: Purchased from the Lynna City Shop (Present) for 30 Rupees.

Iron Shield (L−2)
An upgraded, metal shield offering superior defense. Blocks most projectiles including fire attacks without being destroyed. Still susceptible to Like Likes.
How to Obtain: Usually purchased from the Lynna City Shop (Past) for 50 Rupees, or sometimes found in Gasha Nuts or chests.
Dungeon Navigation Tools

Dungeon Map
Found within a chest in each dungeon. Reveals the layout of all rooms on the current floor and any other floors Link has visited within that dungeon.

Compass
Found within a chest in each dungeon. Displays Link’s current position on the map, marks the locations of unopened treasure chests, and reveals the location of the dungeon’s boss room.

Small Keys
Used to open standard locked doors and occasionally locked blocks within dungeons. Keys are specific to the dungeon they are found in and are consumed upon use. Found in chests or dropped by enemies.
Boss Key
A large, ornate key required to open the heavily secured door leading to the dungeon’s main boss chamber. Each dungeon has one Boss Key, typically found in a prominent chest after overcoming a significant challenge or mini-boss.
Key Items / Dungeon Tools

Shovel
Used to dig up secrets in specific soft soil patches (often marked or visually distinct) and clear pathways blocked by dirt piles. Can uncover Rupees, Hearts, Bombs, or Gasha Seeds.
How to Obtain: Given by the Maku Tree in her chamber in Lynna City (Present) after clearing the first dungeon, Spirit’s Grave.

Power Bracelet (L−1)
Allows Link to lift and throw specific objects like pots and small grey boulders, opening paths and solving puzzles.
How to Obtain: Found within a chest in Spirit’s Grave (Level 1).

Power Glove (L−2)
An upgrade to the Power Bracelet. Allows Link to lift much larger, heavier blue statues and blocks, granting access to late-game areas and secrets.
How to Obtain: Found within a chest in the Ancient Tomb (Level 8).

Roc’s Feather
Allows Link to jump a distance of one tile, crucial for crossing small gaps, hopping over low obstacles, and dodging ground-based attacks.

Roc’s Cape
An upgrade to Roc’s Feather. Allows Link to jump two tiles horizontally. Holding the button after jumping allows Link to glide briefly, extending the jump distance significantly, essential for crossing large chasms.

Seed Satchel / Seed Shooter
Allows Link to carry and use Mystical Seeds. The Seed Shooter upgrade allows firing seeds farther and ricocheting them off walls at specific angles.

Flippers
Allow Link to swim in deep water tiles (lakes, rivers, Zora Seas). Cannot dive with just the flippers.

Mermaid Suit
Allows Link to swim freely underwater, including diving by pressing B. Required to navigate the Zora Seas effectively and enter/explore Jabu-Jabu’s Belly (Level 7 – Present). Replaces the Flippers visually and functionally.
How to Obtain: Found within a chest in Mermaid’s Cave (Level 7 – Past).

Switch Hook
A hookshot variant that swaps Link’s position with specific objects (marked diamonds, certain bushes, pots, magnetic globes). Used extensively for crossing gaps, pulling Link to distant points, and solving intricate puzzles.

Cane of Somaria

How to Obtain: Found in the Past after helping the ghost in Yoll Graveyard find peace (involves navigating the graveyard and using the Shovel).
Mystical Seeds & Seed Satchel/Shooter
Found growing on Mystical Trees throughout Labrynna and refilled by cutting grass or defeating enemies. Used with the Seed Shooter.

Ember Seeds
Burn small bushes/trees blocking paths, light torches to solve puzzles or illuminate dark rooms, and inflict fire damage on enemies.

Scent Seeds
Produce a distinct aroma that attracts certain monsters (like Ropes) or can be used as bait in specific situations (like luring Deku Scrubs out).

Pegasus Seeds
Provide a temporary burst of super-speed. Used to dash across crumbling floors or quickly falling bridges, rapidly cross large areas, charge shoulder-bash blocks, and enhance the jump distance when combined with Roc’s Feather/Cape. Also makes Link hit harder with his sword while active.

Gale Seeds
Create a whirlwind. When used outdoors near an activated Mystical Tree, it warps Link to any other activated tree on the map, providing fast travel across Labrynna. Can also blow away piles of leaves or certain lightweight enemies.

Mystery Seeds
Have context-dependent effects. Primarily used to activate Owl Statues for cryptic hints. Can also sometimes replicate other seed effects randomly when used on objects/enemies, heal the sick fairy in Lynna City, or cure King Zora’s illness in the Past.
Harp of Ages & Tunes
The key artifact for manipulating time, essential for navigating Labrynna’s dual eras.

Harp of Ages
Used to play mystical tunes that affect the flow of time.
How to Obtain: Given by Nayru early in the game after she is possessed by Veran.

Tune of Echoes
The first tune learned for the Harp. Creates shimmering time portals in specific locations, allowing Link to activate time travel points.
How to Obtain: Learned from the Goron Elder in Rolling Ridge (Past) after navigating their tunnels.

Tune of Currents
Allows Link to travel forward in time from the Past to the Present when played at an activated time portal.

Tune of Ages

Essences of Time (8 Total)
Sacred artifacts guarded by dungeon bosses, embodying aspects of time (e.g., Eternal Spirit, Ancient Wood, Echoing Howl). Collecting all eight awakens the Maku Tree to her full power and reveals the path to the Black Tower.
Locations: Rewarded after defeating the boss of each main dungeon (Levels 1 through 8).

Maku Seed
A sacred seed required to break the time distortion surrounding the Black Tower (Present), Veran’s stronghold.
How to Obtain: Given by the fully awakened Maku Tree (Present) after Link collects all eight Essences of Time.

Zora Scale
Allows Link to dive in specific deeper water sections, primarily used to access the underwater ruins leading to Symmetry City (Past) before obtaining the Mermaid Suit.
How to Obtain: Given by King Zora in the Past after curing his illness with Mystery Seeds.

Island Chart

Goron Letter
A letter of introduction required to gain entry into the Goron settlement on Rolling Ridge (Present).

Brother Emblem
Symbolizes Link’s acceptance as an honorary brother by the Gorons. Grants Link full access and cooperation within the Goron communities in both the Past and Present.

Trade Sequence Items

Stationery
From: The Postman (Present).
Trade To: The goat-like character Papahl (“Letter Lover”) inside his house in northeast Lynna City (Past).

Stink Bag
From: Papahl (Past).
Trade To: Chef Tokkey, in the basement kitchen of the large house in southeast Lynna City (Present).

Tasty Meat
From: Chef Tokkey (Present).
Trade To: The Happy Mask Salesman inside his shop in southeast Lynna City (Past).

Doggie Mask
From: The Happy Mask Salesman (Past).
Trade To: Mamamu Yan, in her dog-filled house in central Lynna City (Present).

Dumbbell

Trade To: Thomas, near the bridge south of Lynna City (Past).

Cheesy Mustache
From: Thomas (Past).

Funny Joke

Magic Oar

Sea Ukulele

Goron Vase
From: The Old Zora (Present).
Trade To: Biggoron, at the summit of Rolling Ridge (Present).

Noble Sword (L−2)
From: Biggoron (Present), in exchange for the Goron Vase. This powerful sword replaces your Wooden Sword.
Rings

Ring Box (L−1 / L−2 / L-3)
Holds collected Magical Rings. Starts with L-1 (holds 1 ring), upgradeable to L-2 (holds 3 rings) via purchase at the Lynna City Secret Shop (requires Member’s Card), and L-3 (holds 5 rings) via a Linked Game secret from Vasu Jewelers.

Magical Rings
Over 60 unique rings exist across both Oracle games, many specific to Ages. They offer a wide range of effects:
- Stat Boosts: Power Ring (Atk Up/Def Down), Armor Ring (Def Up/Atk Down), Red/Blue Rings (pure Atk/Def boosts).
- Ability Enhancements: Roc’s Ring (prevents cracked floor crumbling), Swimmer’s Ring (boosts swim speed), Pegasus Ring (extends Pegasus Seed duration).
- Utility: Gasha Ring (increases Gasha Nut yield), Peace Ring (prevents Bomb explosion damage to Link), Light Ring (fires beams at low health).
- Transformation/Cosmetic: Octo Ring, Moblin Ring (change Link’s appearance).
- Collection/Status: Heart Ring L1/L2 (slowly restores health), Rupee Ring (gain rupees over time).
Rings are found in chests, Maple encounters, Gasha Nuts, mini-games, and specific quest rewards. They must be appraised by Vasu Jewelers in Lynna City (Present) before their effects activate and can be equipped.
Animal Companions & Flute
Link gains one of three animal partners based on choices made around Nayru’s house area in the Past.

Strange Flute
Changes into the specific flute for the companion whose territory Link obtains it in, determining which animal becomes his permanent partner.
How to Obtain: Purchase from Lynna City Shop (Present – 150 Rupees) OR win from the Shooting Gallery mini-game (Past).

Ricky’s Flute
Calls Ricky, the boxing kangaroo. He can jump over single holes, traverse grassy terrain quickly, hop up small ledges, and unleash a ranged tornado punch by charging. Essential for navigating specific plains areas.
Companion Befriended: Default if Flute is obtained from Lynna City Shop.

Dimitri’s Flute
Calls Dimitri, the swimming Dodongo. He can swim against strong currents, climb waterfalls, and eat enemies or obstacles (press A). Can be ridden in watery environments.
Companion Befriended: If Flute is won from Shooting Gallery (Past) and Link helps him first near Fairies’ Woods.

Moosh’s Flute
Calls Moosh, the winged polar bear. He can hover for a short duration over gaps (multiple tiles wide), and perform a damaging ground pound attack by holding down A then releasing. Useful for crossing series of pits or breaking certain objects.
Companion Befriended: If Flute is won from Shooting Gallery (Past) and Link helps Dimitri *after* already obtaining the Flute.
Consumables & Collectibles

Rupees
The currency of Labrynna, used for shops, mini-games, and certain interactions. Found widely under grass, in chests, or dropped by enemies. Wallet capacity upgrades (max 999 Rupees) are essential.

Hearts
Small red hearts that replenish Link’s health meter. Dropped frequently by enemies, found under bushes/pots, or sometimes in chests.

Heart Pieces
Collect four pieces to form a new Heart Container, permanently increasing Link’s maximum health by one heart. Found hidden throughout Labrynna in both Past and Present, often requiring specific items, time travel, or puzzle-solving.

Heart Containers
Full heart containers awarded after defeating each main dungeon boss (Levels 1-8). Increases max health by one full heart immediately.

Gasha Seeds
Found in chests, purchased, or dug up. Planted in hidden soft soil spots throughout Labrynna (locations differ between Past and Present). After some time (and defeating enemies), they grow into Gasha Trees which yield Gasha Nuts containing valuable items, most notably Magical Rings.
How to Obtain: Found in various locations; some are sold in shops.

Magical Potion / Potion
A single-use recovery item. Fully restores Link’s health automatically if his Life meter depletes completely. Link can only carry one at a time.
How to Obtain: Purchased from Syrup the Witch in Yoll Graveyard (Present – requires Power Bracelet to access her shop, costs 300 Rupees) or found rarely in Gasha Nuts or chests.
Linked Game Items (Require connection with Oracle of Seasons)
A core feature involves linking Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons via Game Boy Color link cable or passwords (on Virtual Console). This unlocks additional content, including:

Master Sword (L−3)
The ultimate sword upgrade, obtainable only after completing the main story in one game and continuing via a linked secret in the other, then completing specific linked quests.

Mirror Shield (L−3)
The best shield, capable of reflecting beam attacks. Also obtained via linked game secrets.

Bombchus
Remote-controlled bombs. Available via linking.

Ring Box (L−3)
Final upgrade allowing 5 rings equipped.
How to Obtain: Obtained via a linked secret received from Vasu Jewelers after meeting certain conditions in the linked game.

Extra Heart Container
An additional Heart Container beyond those found in the main game.
How to Obtain: Available via linking, often found in a hidden linked-game exclusive area or given by a specific linked character.
Additional Storyline
Linking unlocks an extended ending involving Twinrova and the true final boss, Ganon, after defeating Veran in Ages and Onox in Seasons in a linked playthrough.
Shared Secrets
Characters in one game will give passwords (‘secrets’) that can be told to specific characters in the other linked game to unlock items, upgrades (like sword/shield/bomb bag/seed satchel carrying capacity), or transfer discovered rings between the games.
