Mini-bosses

Giant Ghini

Giant Ghini (Spirit’s Grave, Level 1)

Giant Ghini waits on a yellow carpet behind the door in Spirit’s Grave. It spits out small ghosts first, so slash those away before you strike the big one, and keep your distance between attacks.

Red winged crab Swoop above Link in the Wing Dungeon mini-boss room

Swoop (Wing Dungeon, Level 2)

Swoop is the mini-boss of the Wing Dungeon. Defeating it comes before you claim the Roc’s Feather, which is the item that lets you jump.

Subterror

Subterror (Moonlit Grotto, Level 3)

In Moonlit Grotto, Subterror guards the way to the Boss Key. Defeat it, then claim the key.

Armos Warrior

Armos Warrior (Skull Dungeon, Level 4)

The Armos Warrior is the mini-boss of the Skull Dungeon. Defeat it to reach the Boss Key and the boss room.

Smasher

Smasher (Crown Dungeon, Level 5)

Smasher waits in the north-east part of the ground floor of the Crown Dungeon. It throws a heavy ball at you, so dodge the throw and strike when it is open. Once you have the Cane of Somaria, you can create a block on the switch north of its room so the bridge extends.

Vire

Vire (Mermaid’s Cave, Level 6)

Vire is the mini-boss of the present half of Mermaid’s Cave, in the purple room with the stone border. It is an underling of Veran. Once it flees, the way to the next room opens.

Angler Fish

Angler Fish (Jabu-Jabu’s Belly, Level 7)

The Angler Fish in Jabu-Jabu’s Belly swoops at you with bubbles. Use the Roc’s Feather to dodge its rushes, then strike while it is in close range.

Blue Stalfos skeleton with sword in the purple-brick Ancient Tomb room with Link above

Stalfos (Ancient Tomb, Level 8)

The Stalfos mini-boss sits earlier in the Ancient Tomb, before you reach its boss room. The chapter on the tomb marks where it waits.

Foes in a Linked Game

Twinrova and Ganon

Twinrova and Ganon (Room of Rites)

The Linked Game ends in the Room of Rites, where Twinrova opens pits of lava, releases a swarm of Fire Keese and fires fireballs that split and bounce. Your shield blocks each of her attacks. Ganon is the final foe. The Room of Rites chapter gives the full fight order.
