Welcome to our comprehensive compendium of weapons and shields found across Hyrule in Tears of the Kingdom! This list details nearly all obtainable gear with deeply expanded descriptions covering usage, lore, and mechanics.
Important Notes Before You Begin:
Decay/Pristine: Most weapons found on the Surface are ‘decayed’, offering lower durability. ‘Pristine’ versions (same Attack Power, higher Durability unless noted otherwise) can be found in the Depths, wielded by Shadow Soldiers. You generally need to have found and broken the decayed version of a weapon for its pristine counterpart to start appearing in the Depths. Finding a specific pristine weapon also depends on the type of stand (sword, spear, claymore) and potentially a hidden game progress value.
Fuse Ability: This is KEY! Fusing materials (especially monster parts) dramatically increases Attack Power and adds a flat durability bonus (often +25 hits) to the base weapon/shield, effectively repairing it. Think of the base weapon as a handle and durability pool for the powerful fused attachment.
Durability: Values listed are approximate base values based on community testing. Fuse always adds extra durability (+25 is typical). A higher base durability means the powerful fused effect lasts longer.
Locations: “Depths” refers to finding pristine versions held by Shadow Soldiers on plinths. Specific regions in the Depths often correlate with regional weapon types (e.g., Zora weapons under Lanayru).

Knight’s Shield
Guard 40, Dur ~23 (Metal)
Description: A sturdy metal shield shaped like a kite, favored by knights. Good defense and reasonable durability. Being metal, it resists fire and conducts electricity (useful offensively with Shock Emitters, dangerous defensively against electric attacks). A solid mid-game defensive choice.

Royal Shield
Guard 55, Dur ~29 (Metal)

Royal Guard’s Shield
Guard 70, Dur ~14 (Metal)
Description: Sheikah-tech shield prototype featuring a distinctive black design with red accents. Boasts exceptionally high Guard power, capable of stopping very powerful blows, but its extremely low durability makes it shatter after only a few blocks or parries. Terrible for shield surfing.

(Gear reflecting the rough capabilities and materials available to Hyrule’s monsters.)
Bokoblin:

Boko Club / Spiked Boko Club
Atk 4/17, Dur ~8/14

Moblin:

Moblin Club / Spiked Moblin Club
Atk 9/32, Dur ~12/18
Description: Large, heavy clubs that require two hands. The Spiked version incorporates sharp bones for significantly increased damage. Effective blunt weapons early-mid game, good for breaking ore or armored foes when fused.

Dragonbone Moblin Club
Atk 45, Dur ~24
Description: A massive club made from durable monster fossils. Hits extremely hard with high base attack power and has better durability than expected for a monster weapon. A fearsome weapon if found.

Moblin Arm
Atk 28, Dur ~5 (Skeletal, cannot repair by Octorok)
Description: The literal arm bone of a Stalmobiln. High damage but crumbles almost instantly. Essentially acts as a single-use, high-power fuse material if attached to another weapon.
Lizalfos:

Lizal Boomerang / Lizal Forked Boomerang
Atk 8/14, Dur ~17/20 (Returns when thrown)
Description: Curved blades crafted by Lizalfos. Their unique aerodynamic shape allows them to return to the thrower (hold R, release). Can hit enemies on the outward and return path. Forked version is stronger. Fun to use, requires practice.

Lizal Bow / Steel Lizal Bow
Atk 14/36, Dur ~25/50

Atk 10×3 / 20×3 / 32×5, Dur ~20 / ~30 / ~45 (Multi-shot)
Description: Masterfully crafted bows used by the powerful Lynels. Their defining feature is firing multiple arrows (3 for standard/Mighty, 5 for Savage) in a horizontal spread while only consuming one arrow. This makes them devastating for applying fused arrow effects multiple times instantly (e.g., Bomb Flowers, Gibdo Bones) or dealing massive close-range damage. Savage Lynel Bow is arguably the highest DPS bow.

Lynel Shield / Mighty Lynel Shield / Savage Lynel Shield
Guard 30 / 44 / 62, Dur ~12 / ~15 / ~20 (Metal, often pre-fused)
Description: Extremely tough shields capable of withstanding fierce blows. Often found already fused with a Lynel Saber Horn, adding significant damage to shield bashes. High Guard power, but their durability isn’t top-tier compared to some Hylian shields. Excellent defensive tools dropped by formidable foes.
Note: Lynel melee weapons like swords, crushers, and spears are primarily valuable as Fuse Materials dropped after defeat – Saber Horns, Mace Horns, Spear Horns. Fusing these onto durable pristine weapons yields some of the highest attack values achievable.

Invaluable for utility and status effects.

Forest Dweller’s Spear
Atk 6 (Decayed) / 14 (Pristine), Dur ~26 (Decayed) / ~35 (Pristine)
Description: A Korok-made spear sharing the “Fuse Recycling” property. Excellent for applying effects from a safe distance, such as launching Puffshrooms for cover or Muddle Buds for confusion before engaging, or creating repeated elemental bursts with fruits/jellies. Good pristine durability.

Gloom Weapons
Malevolent weapons radiating Gloom, dropped by Phantom Ganon. Harm Link unless Fused.

Gloom Sword
Atk 41, Dur ~15
Description: A one-handed sword visibly corrupted by Gloom. Holding it unfused continuously drains Link’s maximum hearts (Gloom damage). Fusing any material instantly negates this drawback, allowing safe use of its high base attack. Extremely low durability means it won’t last long, even when fused.

Gloom Club
Atk 50, Dur ~14
Description: A massive two-handed club, dark and menacing, pulsing with Gloom. Possesses very high base attack but rapidly inflicts Gloom damage on Link if held unfused. Fuse immediately to use safely. Its poor durability makes it a temporary powerhouse.

Gloom Spear
Atk 40, Dur ~16
Description: A long spear seemingly forged from condensed Gloom. Inflicts Gloom damage on contact unless a material is fused. Offers high attack for a spear base but remains very fragile. Fuse and use strategically before it breaks.
Skeletal Weapons
Monster bones used as weapons. High damage, extremely low durability, cannot be repaired by Rock Octoroks.

Stalkoblin Arm
Atk 20, Dur ~5
Description: The literal arm bone of a Stalkoblin. Offers surprisingly high base attack, especially considering how early Stalkoblins appear. However, it shatters in just a few hits. Think of it less as a weapon and more as potent, readily available fuse material for early-game power boosts.

Stalmoblin Arm
Atk 28, Dur ~5
Description: A large skeletal arm from a Stalmoblin. Functions as a heavy-hitting two-handed weapon but breaks almost instantly. Fuse it onto a sturdy base (like a Royal Claymore) to make its high attack power last longer.

Stalizalfos Arm
Atk 22, Dur ~5
Description: The curved arm bone of a Stalizalfos. Provides good one-handed attack power but shares the extreme fragility of other bone weapons. Fuse it onto a durable sword or spear for best effect.
Magic Rods & Scepters
Base weapons that amplify elemental effects when fused with gems or specific elemental monster parts like Gleeok Horns.

Magic Rod
Atk 5, Dur ~14 (Single projectile/effect)
Description: A simple one-handed rod, often wooden with a crystal tip. Acts as a conduit for magic. Fusing a gem (Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz, Opal) or certain parts (Gleeok Horns) unleashes corresponding elemental projectiles (Fireball, Ice Shard, Electric Orb, Water Ball) without consuming the gem, using rod durability instead. Star Fragments create light projectiles. Less potent than the Scepter/Staff.

Magic Scepter
Atk 8, Dur ~16 (Area effect)
Description: A more ornate two-handed rod designed for wider effects. Fusing gems creates larger area-of-effect elemental bursts centered on Link (Fire explosion, Ice storm, Electric field, Water burst). Excellent for crowd control or hitting multiple targets. Gleeok Horns also produce powerful area effects.

Magic Staff
Atk 4, Dur ~12 (Focused burst)
Description: A staff, often used like a spear, focusing magical energy. Fusing gems creates concentrated elemental blasts directly in front of Link (Flame burst, Ice spray, Electric discharge, Water jet). Good for targeting specific enemies with elemental damage.
Unique & Legendary Gear
Iconic equipment often tied to Hyrule’s history, Champions, past Heroes, or specific quests.

Master Sword
Atk 30/60 (vs Gloom), Dur ∞ (Energy recharge). (Obtain: Light Dragon/Main Quest)
Description: The legendary Blade of Evil’s Bane, intricately linked to the Hero’s spirit. Visually restored to its former glory. Cannot permanently break; instead, it depletes energy after sustained use (~40 hits base durability equivalent) and requires a 10-minute real-time recharge. Glows and doubles its attack power (to 60) against Gloom-based enemies and the final bosses. Can be Fused; the fused part adds power/durability but is destroyed when the sword’s energy runs out. At full health, allows Link to shoot Sword Beams by pressing ‘R’. A key story item retrieved from the Light Dragon.

Hylian Shield
Guard 90, Dur 800. (Obtain: Hyrule Castle Docks)
Description: The traditional shield of the Knights of Hyrule, bearing the Triforce and Crimson Loftwing insignia. Offers the highest Guard (90) and astronomical Durability (800) in the game, making it incredibly resilient. Miscellaneous / Tools
Items not primarily intended for combat but usable in a pinch.

Tree Branch
Atk 2, Dur ~4
Description: The most basic item imaginable. Barely functional as a weapon, mostly used for lighting campfires via striking flint or as an emergency torch base if lit.

Torch
Atk 2, Dur ~8 (Holds flame)
Description: Designed solely to provide light via its persistent flame (once lit). Can be used to ignite things, but deals negligible combat damage. Breaks fairly quickly if used for hitting.

Soup Ladle
Atk 4, Dur ~5
Description: A humble kitchen ladle. Surprisingly usable for hitting things, though it offers almost no damage and breaks almost immediately. Primarily exists for humor or desperate situations.

Wooden Mop
Atk 4, Dur ~8
Description: Found in stables and homes for cleaning. Can be swung like a very weak staff. Offers minimal damage and low durability.

Farming Hoe
Atk 3, Dur ~6
Description: A tool for working the land. Very low attack power and durability when used in combat.

Pitchfork
Atk 4, Dur ~12
Description: Used on farms for moving hay. Functions as a weak spear with slightly better durability than other farming tools, but still not recommended for serious combat.

Boat Oar
Atk 4, Dur ~8
Description: Used for paddling small boats. Can be swung like a clumsy, weak two-handed club. Breaks quickly.

Fishing Harpoon
Atk 4, Dur ~12

Rusty Halberd / Rusty Claymore / Rusty Broadsword
Atk 3/6/6, Dur ~12/10/8 (Feed to Octoroks)
Description: Severely corroded versions of standard Hylian weapons found scattered in ruins. Extremely weak, their main value lies in being fed to Rock Octoroks near Death Mountain, which inhale them, repair them, and spit them back out as potentially upgraded Soldier’s or Knight’s gear (once per Octorok per Blood Moon).

Rusty Shield
Guard 3, Dur ~16 (Feed to Octoroks)
Description: A shield almost entirely consumed by rust. Offers minimal Guard but surprisingly decent Durability for its state. Like rusty weapons, it can be fed to Rock Octoroks for repair and potential upgrade into a Soldier’s or Knight’s Shield.

Pot Lid
Guard 1, Dur ~10 (Iconic)
Description: The lid of a cooking pot, famously repurposed as a shield. Offers virtually zero protection (Guard 1) but is humorously resilient for its simple nature. Perfect for practicing parry timing without risking valuable shields, or for very basic shield surfing on snow/sand. A true symbol of resourcefulness.
