The Legend of Zelda – Valiant Comics
Launched by Valiant in 1990 as part of the Nintendo Comics System lineup, this series depicts Link and Zelda battling a resurfaced Ganon who holds the Triforce of Power, set after the events of the first two NES games. These comics are notable for their unique, often humorous interpretation of the characters, heavily influenced by the DiC animated series – featuring a very talkative Link (complete with “Excuuuse me, Princess!”) and an adventurous, capable Zelda.
