Quest: Dad’s Blue Shirt
Location: Tarrey Town (Akkala Region)
Quest Giver: Igrene, a Zora child found near the central fountain/statue during the day.
Laundry Emergency in Tarrey Town!
Head to the center of Tarrey Town in the Akkala region. Look around the main plaza area, specifically near the large stone statue of President Hudson that also functions as a fountain (or should, anyway). During the daytime, you should spot a young Zora child named Igrene looking quite distressed.
Your Mission: Sludge Removal Service!
Talk to Igrene: Approach the upset Zora child, Igrene, and start a conversation (A button). She’ll tell you her dad’s favorite blue Zora shirt went missing near the statue, which is covered in yucky sludge. (If you already cleared the regional sludge, the quest might differ slightly or not be available).
Identify the Cleaning Task: The sludge covering the base of the statue is clearly the problem area where the shirt might be hiding.
Choose Your Water Weapon: You need to wash away the sludge. Use any reliable water source:
- Splash Fruit: Equip (
Hold R+ select) and throw (R) directly at the sludge. Several might be needed. - Zonai Hydrant: Activate a Zonai Hydrant device (from inventory
+or fused to weapon/shield) near the sludge. It continuously sprays water. - Sidon’s Ability: If you have the Sage of Water, activate Sidon’s water shield (
Hold+ select Sage), then press
YYto send out a wave of water while the shield is active.
Wash the Statue Base: Aim your water source directly at all the sludge patches covering the base of the Hudson statue. Keep applying water until all the sludge dissolves and washes away.
Spot the Shirt: Once the sludge is gone, look carefully around the base of the statue. You should now see the missing Blue Zora Shirt lying on the ground. It’s an item you can pick up.
Pick Up the Shirt: Walk over and press A to collect the Blue Zora Shirt.
Return to Igrene: Find Igrene nearby (she probably watched you clean). Talk to her again.
Hand Over the Shirt: Choose the dialogue option to give her the Blue Zora Shirt you just found.

Igrene will be incredibly happy and grateful! As thanks for finding her dad’s favorite shirt, she’ll reward you, usually with:
- Some Rupees or…
- A tasty Cooked Meal.
