  • Note (HD): The Hero’s Charm is the reward here. The Piece of Heart is moved to Treasure Chart #46.
• [ ] 15. Orca’s Training: After obtaining the Hero’s Sword, hit Orca 500 times during his training sessions.
• [ ] 16. Pig Chase: On your second visit to Outset (after Forbidden Woods), catch the large black pig near Rose’s house and bring it to her. Then, find the three smaller pigs around the island and bring them to her. She rewards you. (Alternatively, after some story progress, the large pig gives a lot of rupees if you lift it. The heart piece is from finding the specific hidden one near the grassy plateau the pigs wander to). Correction: The Piece of Heart is usually found under your Grandma’s house in a crawl space after some story progression, OR by lifting the big pig after it gets muddy and finding it. A more common method is finding it in a chest hidden at the top of the westernmost rocky outcrop, accessible by gliding from the suspension bridge area, after the forest part of the island is accessible. Self-correction: Many guides point to the rocky outcrop method.

Great Sea – Island Specific & Sunken Treasures – Remaining Pieces of Heart:

Clarification: This often refers to the Goron merchant trade sequence prize which results in the Magic Armor, the heart piece here might be obtained differently or be from a chart near it. The Goron quest reward is the Magic Armor, the piece of heart at Mother & Child is from Treasure Chart #31 or from the Goron merchant on the smaller island.

The primary mailbox heart piece is from giving the Postman’s Badge to the Rito who takes over the mail sorting.) Self-correction: The letter from “Dad” (a pirate) containing a Piece of Heart is a known one. It’s often from Gonzo or another pirate sending it to their family, which Link intercepts/receives. More commonly, it’s delivering the Maggie’s Letter to the Moblin in Forsaken Fortress, then his Moblin’s Letter back to Maggie, who then gives you the Piece of Heart (or her father does). The direct “Dad’s Letter” in the mailbox for Link is less standard. A Piece of Heart IS obtained through the mail system by showing the Postman’s Badge (from helping the Postman) to the Rito trainee at the mail counter on Dragon Roost.
