Gerudo Tag Training (Echoes of Wisdom Side Quest)

In The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the “Gerudo Tag Training” side quest offers players a chance to test their agility against a skilled Gerudo warrior. Here’s a comprehensive guide to completing this quest:

Quest Overview

  • Location: Gerudo Town
  •

  • Quest Giver: A Gerudo soldier near the palace entrance
  •

  • Objective: Catch the Gerudo soldier in a game of tag
  •

  • Reward: Six Chilly Cactus items

Starting the Quest

Upon entering Gerudo Town, head northwest toward the palace entrance. There, you’ll find a Gerudo soldier enjoying her downtime on a patterned blanket. Engage in conversation, and she’ll challenge you to a game of tag, offering a reward if you manage to catch her.

Strategies to Catch the Gerudo Soldier

The Gerudo soldier is exceptionally swift, making it challenging to catch her through direct pursuit. To increase your chances:

  1. Utilize Echoes to Block Paths:

    • Decorative Shrub: An ornamental plant sturdy enough to impede movement.
    •

    • Boulder: A heavy rock that can obstruct pathways.

Summon these Echoes strategically to block the soldier’s escape routes, especially at alleyways and staircases. This tactic can slow her down, providing an opportunity to tag her.

  2.

  3. Manipulate the Environment:

    • Push large blue vases found around the town to create barriers. Positioning these objects effectively can corner the soldier, making it easier to catch her.
  4.

  5. Anticipate Her Route:

    • Observe her running pattern to predict her movements. By understanding her route, you can position yourself advantageously and set up effective blockades.

Completing the Quest

Once you’ve successfully tagged the Gerudo soldier, a conversation will ensue, during which she’ll express amazement at your agility. As a token of appreciation, she’ll reward you with six Chilly Cactus items, completing the quest.

Additional Tips

  • Preparation: Before initiating the chase, take time to set up Echoes and obstacles along her anticipated path. This preparation can significantly increase your chances of success.

  •

  • Resource Management: Ensure you have sufficient Triangles to summon the necessary Echoes during the chase.

By following this guide, you’ll successfully complete the “Gerudo Tag Training” side quest, enhancing your adventure in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
