Missing Sister (Orielle’s Injured Loftwing)

A worried brother in the plaza

Only once you have completed the Lost Child quest and spoken with Batreaux about Gratitude Crystals will this next chapter begin. Parrow can then be found pacing near the Light Tower in the Skyloft Plaza during the day, evidently worried that his younger sister Orielle has not returned from a recent flight. That encounter officially starts the Missing Sister sidequest.

Skyward Sword Missing Sister Quest

A crash site in the southwestern sky

Taking to the air from Skyloft and heading southwest, you will soon spy Fun Fun Island below. Just before reaching it there is a tiny island in the clouds where you will find Orielle sitting beside her injured Loftwing. She explains that her bird was hurt mid‑flight and that she is stranded until someone brings help.

The journey back for bird medicine

Orielle will ask you to fetch medicine for her Loftwing. Returning to the plaza and sharing her plight with Parrow leads him to hand over an empty bottle filled with Mushroom Spores—a remedy specifically effective for Bird healing. He thanks you and urges you to deliver them soon. You keep the bottle after the quest is over.

Missing Sister Quest - Mushroom Spores

Healing the Loftwing

Glide back to Orielle’s floating island and offer the Mushroom Spores. She carefully sprinkles them on her Loftwing’s injured wing and the bird quickly regains strength. Orielle expresses heartfelt thanks and awards you five Gratitude Crystals.

Returning for additional thanks

With her Loftwing recovered, Orielle can take flight once again. Immediately after, you can return to Parrow in Skyloft’s plaza. He is visibly relieved and offers five more Gratitude Crystals along with the empty bottle as a token of his appreciation. That brings your total reward for this quest to ten Gratitude Crystals and the bottle you can keep.
