Simosiwak Shrine – Proving Grounds: Lights Out

Enter the shrine and prepare for a challenge where your wits and resourcefulness will be put to the test. You’ll start with nothing, so take a moment to survey your surroundings. Right in front of you, a group of Bokoblins is patrolling an area lit only by weak torches. Sneak around the perimeter, using the shadows to your advantage, and look for any environmental elements you can use. You’ll find some barrels nearby—grab one with your Ultrahand and hurl it at the unsuspecting Bokoblins to take them out quietly, or simply use the darkness to slip past them entirely.

As you move deeper into the shrine, keep an eye out for additional resources like weapons dropped by defeated enemies or objects like wooden planks and rocks. If you find a torch, you can light it on a nearby fire source and use it to illuminate dark corners while also setting fire to grass or wooden structures to create distractions. In the final area, a larger group of enemies awaits, so consider using the environment to your advantage. Look for any high ground or ledges that you can climb to rain down attacks from above, or use your collected weapons to keep them at bay. Once you’ve cleared the room, the shrine’s light will shine brightly, granting you the rewards you’ve earned through clever strategy and cunning stealth.
