As you roam around the land of Hyrule you’ll come across Great Fairy Fountains. These Great Fairies will help you by giving you item upgrades that really come in handy. Some of these Fairy Fountains will be hard to find. So we wrote this guide to help you find them, and figure some of the questions they may have for you. Good Luck!
Great Mayfly Fairy
Location: Mt. Crenel
Reward: Larger Bomb Bag
While you’re climbing the biggest wall on Mt.Crenel, go to the far right side and you’ll se a piece of land. There is also a sign there. Blow up the wall with a bomb, and a cave is revealed. Go inside and throw a bomb into the water. The Great Mayfly Fairy will show herself and ask you if you threw a Golden Bomb, a Silver Bomb or Neither. Be honest and answer Neither, and you will be rewarded with a larger bomb bag!
Great Butterfly Fairy
Location: Minish Woods
Reward: Larger Wallet
After you get the Cane of Pacci from the Cave of Flames, go to the northeast corner of Eastern Hills and use it in the small hole which is in the ground. Jump down into the hole and you’ll be thrown up. Head to your left and enter the Minish Forest. Walk a few steps and you’ll see a tree with an entrance. Enter the three and go down the stair and head north. Throw in all your rupees and the Great Butterfly Fairy will show herself and reward you with a larger wallet because you were so generous enough to give her your rupees!
Great Dragonfly Fairy
Location: Royal Valley
Reward: Larger Quiver
This one is simple to find. Once you enter the Royal Valley, head down the stairs and go right a few steps and blow up the wall there to reveal a cave. Enter the cave, and head north to the pond. The Great Dragonfly Fairy will show herself, and she will ask you five questions.
- The first Element you found was the Fire Element, was it not? No
- Your grandfather’s name is Smee, isn’t it? No
- Melari of Mount Crenel has seven apprentices, does he not? Yes
- The Blabber Nut gives one the ability to understand the Minish, does it not? No
- The robe of the current king of Hyrule, Daltus, is white, is it not? No
