Acquire the Picto Box
On Windfall Island, locate the jail near the town’s central area. Enter the jail and free Tingle by stepping on the switch hidden beneath the pots.
After freeing Tingle, move the crate inside his cell to reveal a crawlspace. Enter and navigate the maze to find a chest containing the Picto Box.

With the Picto Box, visit Lenzo’s photography shop on Windfall Island (marked by a camera sign above the door).
Gain Access to the Gallery
Show Lenzo your Picto Box to access his gallery. After viewing his photographs, speak to him, and he will offer you an assistant role. Accept to begin a series of tasks.
Complete Lenzo’s Photography Tasks
Lenzo assigns three missions to test your photography skills:
Mission 1: Capture the Love Letter Delivery
Timing: During the day, follow Garrickson from Lenzo’s shop to the mailbox. Maintain distance to avoid detection. Capture the photo just as he mails the letter.
Objective: Photograph the man in red (Garrickson) as he places a letter into the mailbox.
Mission 2: Capture the Frightened Man
Method: Enter the café and find the man sitting alone. To startle him, roll into the wall near him or break a nearby pot. Quickly take a photo capturing his frightened expression.
Objective: Photograph the startled reaction of the elderly man in the café.
Mission 3: Capture the Secret Couple
Objective: Photograph the fleeting glance between the woman in the orange dress and the man in the green outfit.
Timing: Position yourself near the woman by the stairs leading to the windmill. Wait for the man in green to pass by. Capture the moment they exchange glances.
Note: Patience is key, as the man in green appears periodically.
Obtain the Deluxe Picto Box
GameCube Version:
- Capture a Forest Firefly: Travel to Forest Haven and catch a Forest Firefly using an empty bottle. These fireflies emit a bright glow and are found near the entrance to the potion shop.
- Upgrade the Picto Box: Return the Forest Firefly to Lenzo. Impressed by your dedication, he will upgrade your Picto Box to the Deluxe Picto Box, enabling color photography.
Wii U HD Version:
- After completing Lenzo’s three tasks, he will upgrade your Picto Box to the Deluxe Picto Box without the need for the Forest Firefly.
