Daily Bonuses and Gear Fixes: Zelda’s New App Integration Explained

Nintendo has unveiled an exciting new feature for the upcoming Switch 2 editions of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom: the ability to repair equipment using a companion app.

Sheikah Slate Meets Smartphone: Daily Bonuses and Equipment Repair

In these enhanced versions, players can access a daily roulette wheel through the updated Nintendo Switch app. This feature offers various in-game bonuses, including health restoration, energy cell recharges, meals, and, notably, equipment repairs. This means that when your favorite sword is on the verge of breaking during a battle with a Lynel, you might have the chance to restore its durability.

However, to maintain game balance, each bonus can only be used once per day, and the roulette wheel’s offerings change daily, so equipment repair won’t always be available.

Enhanced App Features: Achievements and More

Beyond the equipment repair function, the updated app introduces achievements, voiced navigation, and new memory logs, enriching the overall gameplay experience.

Visual Upgrades and DLC Considerations

While the Switch 2 editions boast improved visual performance, it’s important to note that the Breath of the Wild Switch 2 edition will not include its previously released paid DLC, which added new story content and shrines.

A Glimpse into the Future: Hyrule Warriors Sequel

In addition to these updates, fans can look forward to the upcoming Hyrule Warriors sequel titled Age of Imprisonment, set to expand the Tears of the Kingdom universe.

These enhancements aim to provide a more immersive and flexible experience for both new players and longtime fans of the series.
