Atun Valley Cave

How to find it

The entrance is at map coordinates 2454, -3193, near Atun Valley. Look for the cave mouth at that spot; a Blupee or a ring of light often marks them.

Inside the cave

Enter the cave and climb the scaffolding

Walk into the cave mouth at the bottom of Atun Valley and follow the passage until it opens onto a cavern filled with wooden scaffolding. A Horriblin camp sits on the platforms; defeat the Horriblins, and be careful of the black Gloom puddle on the planks, which drains your hearts. Light the way with Brightbloom Seeds.

Open the two scaffold chests

Climb the scaffolding to the glowing skull chest, which holds a Bomb-Barrel Spear, then step across the planks to the second chest for a Knight’s Broadsword (or Traveler’s Sword, Soldier’s Broadsword or Royal Broadsword, depending on your progress) Halberd. The scaffold is rickety, so move carefully on it.

Shoot the Bubbulfrog

Go to the other floor of the cave and look at the southern wall: a patch of Red Sediment hides a chamber. Break the sediment and the Bubbulfrog is behind it; shoot it with an arrow to collect the Bubbul Gem.

Good to know

The cave mouth is at the bottom of Atun Valley, just north of the path and marked by a skull and fence above the entrance (northwest of Lurelin Village). Use Ascend to reach the upper level, where three Black Horriblins hold the platform; hit them from range (arrows fused to Bomb Flowers work well) and then build a ramp with a Board to reach the enemy base where the two weapon chests sit. A floating wooden chest in the pond also holds a Bomb Flower. Clear any Keese before taking aim at the frog.
