Exploration

Hyrule is three maps stacked on top of each other: the surface, the sky islands above it and the Depths below. This section collects the guides for moving between them and for finding the things that are easy to miss, such as Lightroots, Dragon's Tears, wells and the ghosts that hold pristine weapons.

Each page gives in-game coordinates (X, Y, height) for every location and links its spots to the interactive map, so you can plan a route before you set out. The 152 shrines have their own guide, and every Lightroot sits directly beneath one of them.

Lightroots

All 120 Lightroots in the Depths, each with the shrine above it and its map coordinates.

  • A Lightroot is named after its shrine spelled backwards, so you can work out where to dive.
  • Lighting one reveals that part of the Depths map and makes the area easier to cross.
  • Grouped by region, from Akkala to Necluda.

When to use it: when you are clearing the Depths and want to know where the next Lightroot lies. Open Lightroots.

Skyview Towers

All 15 Skyview Towers with coordinates.

  • Activating a tower reveals the surface map around it.
  • Each tower launches you onto the sky map for its region.

When to use it: to plan which tower to take first and where to launch from. Open Skyview Towers.

Depths

The Depths guide: the 36 chasm entrances, how Lightroots light the map and where the Bargainer Statues are.

  • Coordinates for every chasm on the surface.
  • How the 120 Lightroots reveal the Depths map.
  • Bargainer Statues, which trade Poes for Depths-exclusive gear.

When to use it: before your first dive and whenever you need a way back up. Open Depths.

Depths Ghosts

All 679 Depths ghosts and the pristine weapons they hold, grouped into 37 weapon pools.

  • Pristine weapons are the undecayed versions: they hit harder and last longer.
  • Each ghost offers one weapon from its pool, so you can revisit the spots that can offer the item you want.
  • Every ghost links to its spot on the interactive map.

When to use it: to farm a specific pristine weapon. Open Depths Ghosts.

Sky Islands

How to reach the sky islands, which shrines are up there and what each notable island holds.

  • Launch from any of the 15 Skyview Towers, then glide or build a Zonai flyer.
  • 32 sky shrines, 10 of them opened by crystal quests.
  • Sky shrines have no Lightroot beneath them.

When to use it: when you are ready to leave the surface. Open Sky Islands.

Dragon’s Tears

All 12 Dragon's Tears with coordinates and how they connect to the geoglyphs.

  • Each tear is a glowing memory that shows part of the story of Zelda and the Zonai.
  • They are found by following the geoglyphs revealed in the main quest The Dragon's Tears.

When to use it: to track down the memories you are missing. Open Dragon’s Tears.

Wells

All 58 wells with their map coordinates.

  • Each well leads to a small underground area, usually with a chest or a puzzle.
  • Listed alphabetically with X, Y and height.

When to use it: when you are sweeping an area for everything it holds. Open Wells.

Horses

Horses and stables: all 14 stables with coordinates and where horse quests come up.

  • Stables are where you register, board and upgrade horses.
  • Includes the Horse God and the quests that start at stables.

When to use it: to find the nearest stable or to plan a horse run. Open Horses.
