How to find it

The entrance is at map coordinates 4752, -3781, near Koholit Rock. Look for the cave mouth at that spot; a Blupee or a ring of light often marks them.

Inside the cave

Sail into the skull-topped mouth

The cave on the east shore of Eventide Island is marked by a giant skull above its mouth. Pull a raft or boat up to the opening and sail in; a pirate ship hideout fills the cavern beyond, and its crew attack as soon as you land.

Clear the pirate hideout

Bokoblins man the ship and the Zonai turrets on the deck. Use the ladders to climb the hull and defeat everything on the ship; this finishes the hideout step of Seeking the Pirate Hideout. Watch for Shock Fruit and Bokoblin Fangs on the deck as you go.

Shoot the Bubbulfrog

At the back of the cave, on the lower level, there is a tunnel filled with water. Swim through it to a small room where the Bubbulfrog is, and shoot it with an arrow to receive a Bubbul Gem.

Open the chest with Silver Rupee and Topaz

Just outside the shrine are two chests: one holds a Silver Rupee and the other a Topaz.

Enter Marari-in Shrine

Marari-in Shrine (Rauru’s Blessing) is at the end of the cave. Its chest holds a Ruby, and the Light of Blessing waits at the terminal.

Good to know

The cave on the back (south-east) side of Eventide Island only opens once you have progressed far enough in the side quest Seeking the Pirate Hideout, which begins with Sesami at Toronbo Beach and has you clear the nearby monster strongholds first. Inside you fight many Blue Bokoblins and a Black Boss Bokoblin around a pirate ship in the middle of the cave. The entrance of Marari-in Shrine is ringed with spikes: fuse Boards to the side of the pirate ship to build a ramp to it.
