Gerudo Sanctuary

Gerudo Sanctuary is the sealed underground chamber beneath North Gerudo Ruins, tied to The Mysterious Eighth side quest. A locked door, a vault with a Gold Rupee chest, a stela carved with the story of the Eighth Heroine, and a Bubbulfrog with a Bubbul Gem make up the cave. Trade the gems to Koltin in The Hunt for Bubbul Gems!

How to find it

The entrances are at map coordinates -3763, -2698 and -3763, -2420, under North Gerudo Ruins north of Gerudo Town. Look for the sealed doorway in the ruins.

Inside the cave

Open the sealed door with the orb

Carry the large Zonai orb found in the ruins to the sealed doorway with Ultrahand and set it into the socket. The door unlocks and opens the way down.

Cross the dark passage to the vault

Follow the water-filled tunnel past the torch-lit gates, using Brightbloom Seeds in the dark sections and climbing the wall flanked by two burning torches. The passage ends in a vault where weapons lie on the floor and a chest holds a Gold Rupee. Gerudo Claymores, a Gerudo Bow, a Gerudo Spear, a Gerudo Shield and a Gerudo Scimitar also lie in the vault.

Read the stela

Walk through the torch-lit hall to the stone stela at the end and examine it to read the tale of the Eighth Heroine. Examining it progresses The Mysterious Eighth; report back to Rotana afterwards.

Take the Bubbul Gem and the last chest

In the rubble cavern on the way out, the Bubbulfrog hangs from the ceiling. Shoot it down and take the Bubbul Gem. A chest at the end of the cavern holds Giant Brightbloom Seed x5.

What else is in the cave

South entranceA small hole between four pillars at North Gerudo Ruins, easy to miss
North entranceThe main way in, sealed until you place the eighth Gerudo orb from The Mysterious Eighth; it leads to the Statue of the Eighth Heroine room
Short route to the BubbulfrogFrom the south entrance, drop a long way into water, swim to the nearby land and break the rock blockade with a bomb-flower arrow; the Bubbulfrog is in the small room at the end of the hallway
EnemiesA few weak enemies in the hallway, which you can fight or run past

Bring a Bomb Flower and a bow for the blockade. There is no Korok seed inside; Soryotanog Shrine is the nearest shrine.
