How to find it

The entrance is at map coordinates -2900, 2510, near Hebra Headspring. Look for the cave mouth at that spot; a Blupee or a ring of light often marks them.

Inside the cave

Cross the freezing water

The water in the entry room is deadly cold and not walkable. Shoot the Ice Keese that circle the room so they drop into the water and freeze into ice blocks, or fire Ice Fruit arrows at the water, then jump from block to block. Climb the stone pillars standing in the pool to reach the west side.

Claim the Frostbite Trousers

The chest sits in a shrine-like alcove with red banners on the north-east side of the cave. Ice coats the direct path, so jump across the wall on the left to get up to it. It holds the Frostbite Trousers, which add cold resistance and are part of the Frostbite armor set.

Shoot the Bubbulfrog

A wall climb leads to the middle room, where the Bubbulfrog clings to the rock. Shoot it with an arrow to collect a Bubbul Gem.

Hazards, route and loot

ColdThe cave sits in a freezing climate: you take damage over time without at least two levels of cold resistance, and falling into the water hurts quickly
WallsNearly every wall is ice and cannot be climbed, so you have to use the stone pillars and the one unfrozen wall section
ApproachThe mouth is at the north end of the headspring, just south of Hebra Peak, and the frosty platforms leading to it are awkward to reach. Gliding from higher ground, a Tulin gust or a rocket on a shield all work
ChestFrostbite Trousers, in the north-east chamber, reached through a hole in the wall; ice on the wall there blocks the direct way in, so jump across it to enter
BubbulfrogIn an open hole in the one section of wall that is not frozen: climb the stone pillars in the pool, jump off and glide to that wall, then climb until you reach the hole. Hit the frog to get its Bubbul Gem
EnemiesIce Keese in the entry room, plus the Bubbulfrog
Also hereGiant Brightbloom Seeds and ore deposits. No Korok seed or Lightroot is listed inside

Defeating an Ice Keese over the water makes it fall in and freeze into an Ice Block you can climb. The Frostbite Trousers are one piece of the Frostbite armor set, a cold-weather outfit.
