How to find it

The entrances are at map coordinates 3224, -3017 and 3291, -3296, near Mount Dunsel. Look for the cave mouth at that spot; a Blupee or a ring of light often marks them.

Inside the cave

Enter by water

Mount Dunsel Cave has two water-level mouths: the north entrance near West Loshlo Harbor and the south entrance above the water of Gama Cove. Take a raft or boat in through either one and climb onto the first bank. The cave is dark and filled with hanging vines, so keep Brightbloom Seeds ready.

Collect the Royal Bow, Emblazoned Shield and Eightfold Longblade

Push through the vines in the first cavern for a chest holding a Royal Bow (or Traveler’s Bow, Soldier’s Bow or Knight’s Bow, depending on your progress). Continue along the bank to the next chest for an Emblazoned Shield, then take the Eightfold Longblade from the chest in the chamber after it. If your weapon slots are full, clear space before you open them.

Shoot the Bubbulfrog

Beyond the third chest the cave opens into a wide sloping cavern. The Bubbulfrog hops across the ceiling here; shoot it with an arrow to collect the Bubbul Gem.

Loot the far chests

Keep exploring the rest of the cavern. One chest holds a Shield of the Mind’s Eye, and another holds a second Emblazoned Shield.

Reach Bamitok Shrine

Bamitok Shrine (Rauru’s Blessing) is at the end of the cave. Its chest holds a Big Battery, and the Light of Blessing waits at the terminal at the end.

Good to know

The cave runs under Mount Dunsel and makes a handy way across it without climbing. The north mouth is a hole in the Dunsel plateau east of Keya Pond (the cave mouth also opens by West Loshlo Harbor) and the south mouth is by Gama Cove; the south entrance gives easier access to the Bubbulfrog. Another route in is to paraglide from the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower. Several guides also mention a floating chest in the water near the north entrance holding a Sapphire, and a hidden chamber of ore deposits that you open by standing on a wooden platform and breaking the rubble from the water. Like Likes in the cave drop chests with random contents. The route to the shrine goes through vines, past Shock Worms and a Skeleton Bokoblin, across the water on a plank placed with Ultrahand, and up the hill by Ascend.
