Rodai Lakefront Tunnel

Rodai Lakefront Tunnel is a cave in West Necluda, about 37 map units from Rodai Lake. Caves like this one hide chests and a Bubbulfrog that drops a Bubbul Gem; trade the gems to Koltin in The Hunt for Bubbul Gems!

How to find it

The entrance is at map coordinates 1896, -3111, near Rodai Lake. Look for the cave mouth at that spot; a Blupee or a ring of light often marks them.

Inside the cave

Drop into the dark hole

Find the black hole in the mossy slope beside Rodai Lake and jump in, then glide down the circular shaft into the tunnel. It is very dark, so throw Brightbloom Seeds for light.

Open the chest

Follow the root-choked tunnel to a wooden chest that holds a Gnarled Long Stick (or Long Stick or Sturdy Long Stick, depending on your progress) (a weaker Sturdy Long Stick early in the game; it upgrades as your progress rises).

Shoot the Bubbulfrog

Continue to the deepest cavern, where the Bubbulfrog floats above the floor. Hit it with an arrow and pick up the Bubbul Gem.

Chest, Bubbulfrog and the Hinox

EntranceA hole in the mossy slope at the northeast end of Rodai Lake
ChestGnarled Long Stick (a weaker Sturdy Long Stick early on), in the tunnel
Bubbul GemOne Bubbulfrog in a small hidden cave below the west end of the tunnel
MinibossThe Youngest Hinox Brother, in the large room at the north end of the tunnel
RequirementsBrightbloom Seeds (they are scattered around the cave) and a bow

The cave is pitch black. For the Bubbulfrog, follow the tunnel to its west end, drop through the hole that goes even deeper and land in water. Shoot the Brightbloom Seed ahead to light the way, go straight and shoot the second seed, which sits on a rock formation beside an opening, then leap through into the hidden cave. The frog is directly ahead and needs two or three arrows. No monsters block the way. The Youngest Hinox Brother is the Hinox of the Ousting the Giants quest; its eye is the weak point, so shoot it while airborne to slow time. You can skip it for the Bubbul Gem. There is no shrine or Lightroot inside.
