How to find it

The entrance is at map coordinates 3321, 3424, in the tall rock spire that forms one eye of Skull Lake (the other eye is a chasm into the Depths). Look for the cave mouth at that spot; a Blupee or a ring of light often marks them.

Inside the cave

Glide into the cave

The entrance is a hole in the top of the rock pillar in the eye socket of Skull Lake. Climbing it costs a great deal of stamina, so glide down into it from a nearby cliff or from the high ground to the north. A rocket plus the Paraglider also works, as does standing on a fallen sky-island fragment, using Recall to rise, and gliding over the opening.

Light the way and cross the cavern

The cave is dark. Throw Brightbloom Seeds to light it and pick up the seeds growing on the floor as you go. Stalkoblins and Stalmoblins wake up as you move through, so keep your weapon out. Drop into the pool, swim south and fight up the first slope, then into a pit where the Stalkoblins can be grouped and blown up with Bomb Flowers. On the far side, a wall can be broken with a Bomb Flower or a hammer-style weapon; behind it is the large main chamber.

Beat the Stalnox

A Stalnox guards the central chamber. Keep it at range, shoot its eye when it opens and finish it off with bombs or a heavy weapon. Its eye is the weak point: when its body breaks apart, hit the exposed eye. You can also simply run past it and climb to the chest. The walls of the chamber hold ore and Rare Ore Deposits.

Take the Bubbul Gem

Once the Stalnox is down, break the large blue-stone wall on the north side of the main chamber to open a connected side room. The Bubbulfrog is on the far side of it; knock it down with an arrow and defeat it to collect a Bubbul Gem.

Open the Fierce Deity Mask chest

In the southern part of the main chamber stands a tall stump topped with a Misko shrine. Climb its north face to reach the front of the shrine, where the chest holds the Fierce Deity Mask, the first piece of the Fierce Deity armor set. Wearing it with the armor and boots opens the final chest of Misko’s Treasure: The Fierce Deity.
