Messages from an Ancient Era sends you after 13 stone tablets engraved with ancient Hyrulean. The first one lies in Lookout Landing; photograph the others with the Camera, then show every picture to Wortsworth at the research lab in Kakariko Village so he can translate them. The first tablet is the one at Lookout Landing, so there are 12 more to photograph on sky islands.
Walkthrough
Meet Wortsworth at the fallen tablet
Once you have finished one of the regional temples, a stone tablet flanked by two glowing lamps stands in the central plaza of Lookout Landing, with Wortsworth and a small crowd around it. Talk to him and he explains that the carving is ancient Hyrulean and that his reference notes are at the research lab in Kakariko Village to the south-east, so he heads there. Your quest log then tells you there are 13 tablets in all and asks you to capture the rest in pictures.

Photograph the remaining tablets
The other tablets are slabs set between two lamps inside ruined pillar frames, all of them on small floating sky islands spread across the sky above every region (the Hebra, Eldin, Akkala, Lanayru, Necluda, Gerudo and Hyrule skies), usually between two lamps in front of a carved face. Each is easiest to reach by gliding from the nearest Skyview Tower, and several need a launcher, fan or balloon, extra stamina, or Zora Armor to swim up a waterfall. Fly or glide to each one with a Zonai vehicle, stand in front of the slab, raise the Camera from the Purah Pad and frame the stone until the picture is taken. On several islands (the first, fourth, fifth, eighth, ninth and tenth tablets are commonly listed) the platform in front of the tablet drops away when you step on it, so take the picture quickly or follow the falling piece down and photograph it there. They can be done in any order, and the quest log counts how many are still missing.

Show the pictures to Wortsworth
Go to Wortsworth at the Zonai Survey Team Base (the research lab) in Kakariko Village. He reads each picture in turn and pays a Silver Rupee (worth 100 rupees) for every new tablet. You can show him pictures as you collect them or hand over the whole set at once. When the last tablet is translated the quest completes and he gives you the Zonai Survey Team Fabric, for 12 Silver Rupees (1,200 rupees) in total.

Rewards
- A Silver Rupee (100 rupees) for each of the 12 tablet pictures he has not yet seen
- Zonai Survey Team Fabric, a paraglider fabric, for completing the set
Tips
- Drop a map stamp on each tablet as you spot it; the islands are easy to lose among the clouds.
- The farthest islands (the Necluda Sea sky, South Hyrule sky and Gerudo sky tablets) need two or more stamina wheels, so bring stamina food and medicine.
- Pack spare batteries or Zonai Charges for your flying machine, because the islands are far apart.
