Pyper, the flute player of the Stable Trotters, wants to make a tree glow for Haite. Bring him 10 sunset fireflies, then fetch Haite from the stable at night and bring her to the tree for the Big Hearty Truffle.
Walkthrough
Talk to Pyper in the tree
Pyper sits in the largest tree in the small patch of trees north of Highland Stable; listen for his flute. Climb up and talk to him, choosing the first dialogue option. He tried to make a glowing tree by setting fire to it and failed, so now he wants to use fireflies.

Collect 10 sunset fireflies
Sunset fireflies only come out at night. Crouch as you approach so they do not scatter, and catch ten, then give them to Pyper in the tree. Good spots are the road through Pagos Woods and Finra Woods to the north, the pond behind your old house in Hateno Village and Lanayru Wetlands; they are most common after midnight, and stealth food or armor helps. You can also buy them from the wandering merchant at Highland Stable.

Bring Haite to the tree
Wait until night, then talk to Haite in the stable. She is a little girl in a red hat, usually sitting on the floor inside the stable or in the garden. Ask her to follow you and walk to the tree at her pace, without running ahead. If it is raining or she will not follow, sleep until the next night and try again.

Watch the tree glow
When you arrive, Pyper plays the flute and the fireflies make the tree glow. Haite smiles, and Pyper gives you a Big Hearty Truffle as a thank-you.

Rewards
You earn a Big Hearty Truffle.
Tips
- Fireflies drift away if you rush at them, so move slowly and crouch.
- To pass time you can rest at the campfire in front of the stable, or sleep at the Lookout Landing bunker if it is raining.
