Walkthrough
Hand Koltin a Bubbul Gem
Koltin has parked his stall inside Pico Pond Cave beside Pico Pond. Collect a Bubbul Gem from the Bubbulfrog hiding in the cave and give it to him. Koltin then packs up his stall to go looking for more gems, and the quest begins. His brother Kilton stays behind and tells you to visit him in Tarrey Town if you need help finding Koltin.

Ask Kilton in Tarrey Town, then find the stall at night
Kilton is near the village square and tells you Koltin appears on the hill across from town every night, so wait until dark before you go. Wait until nightfall and look for the glowing balloons on the hillside; the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower is the closest place to warp to. Walk over to Koltin’s stall. Talk to him and the quest is complete. From now on his stall appears at night at several places around Hyrule, where you can trade Bubbul Gems for rewards.

Besides the hill by Tarrey Town, guides list his stall south of Lookout Landing, southeast of Snowfield Stable, east of Faron Woods, on Isle of Rabac and southeast of the Gerudo Desert Gateway. Finding him at any of these also completes the quest. He appears even in rain; if you have not spotted him by midnight, sleep at an inn to reset the night.
Rewards
- Access to Koltin’s shop (no other reward). One price list shows Moblin Mask 2 gems, Lizalfos Mask 3, Horriblin Mask 4 and Lynel Mask 4, plus monster parts, the Lynel Horn Mace and the Mystic armor set (Mystic Headpiece, Robe and Trousers); prices vary between guides, so check the stall. Roughly 36 Bubbul Gems buys everything, per one guide.
Tips
- Sleep at a campfire or inn until night if you arrive in the daytime.
- Bubbul Gems drop from Bubbulfrogs that hide in caves; collect as many as you can before you return.
