Dillie is stuck at the bottom of Rebonae Bridge Well because his ladder snapped. Use Ultrahand to join the fallen ladder section back onto the hanging half and he climbs out and pays you a Purple Rupee. The whole job takes about a minute.

How to start Fell into a Well!

Rebonae Bridge Well sits in the wooded ground at the south-east end of Applean Forest, right beside Rebonae Bridge on the road across Hyrule Field, which is the way you travel from Lookout Landing toward Wetland Stable. After dark, look for the campfire smoke curling out of the opening. Step up to the stone rim, which has a small wooden frame over it, and choose “Climb down” to reach the floor.

Walkthrough

Spot the broken ladder

Dillie waits by a campfire on the floor of the well. His ladder snapped when he tried to climb out. The top half still hangs from the opening far above you, and the lower half lies on the ground nearby.

Grab the fallen section

Select Ultrahand, aim at the lower section and press Grab to pick it up. It starts out lying flat, so you will need to turn it.

Rotate it upright and attach it

Hold the rotate control to stand the piece vertically, then raise it until its top end meets the bottom of the hanging section. When the two ends glow and the Attach prompt appears, confirm it. The join does not need to look neat, but the finished ladder must reach down to the floor so Dillie can step onto it.

Reward

Talk to Dillie once the ladder reaches the floor. You both end up back at the surface, where he gives you a Purple Rupee, worth 50 rupees. He says he is headed to Foothill Stable to meet his friend Jora and apply to join the Zonai Survey Team.

Tips

  • If Dillie does not climb, the ladder is probably still too high above the ground. Pick it up with Ultrahand again and lower it until the bottom rung sits on the floor.
  • If Attach does not show up, nudge the piece closer. The prompt only appears when the two ends are almost touching.
  • Ultrahand is the only ability you need. No Stamina or climbing gear is required, so you can do this as soon as you have left the Great Sky Island.
  • Rebonae Bridge Well is a good stop when you are crossing Hyrule Field anyway: it sits right beside the road, so the detour is short.
