Shoda Sah Shrine (Impeccable Timing)

Shoda Sah is a timing shrine. Metal balls are fired from launchers by striking a lantern switch, and each ball has to land in a slot on a moving platform. The right side gives a chest of arrows; the left side, where moving blocks interrupt the shot, gives the Small Key that opens the monk’s door.

How to find it

Riola Spring is in the south of Faron. Approach the waterfall from the east, drop down from above and follow the hidden walkway on the right of the falls to the entrance.

Solution

Load the right launcher

Pick up one of the balls and place it in the right-hand launcher.

Time the right-hand shot

Hit the lantern switch so the ball sails onto the platform that slides from side to side, and drops into the slot. Success sends a chest of arrows flying. If you miss and run out of balls, swim down to fetch them.

Time the left-hand shot

Do the same on the left launcher, but wait until the moving blocks clear the ball’s path. That drops a chest containing a Small Key.

Unlock the door

Carry the key to the locked door and collect the Spirit Orb. If the timing defeats you, roll a ball into the water near the slot, raise it with Cryonis and drop it in by hand.

Chests and rewards

  • Ice Arrows: in the chest from the right-hand slot.
  • Small Key: in the chest from the left-hand slot.
  • Spirit Orb: from the monk Shoda Sah.
