| Used for | Cooking meals and elixirs, trading with Kilton, armor upgrades, selling |
Everything you can pick up, hunt or loot in Breath of the Wild falls into a handful of groups. Food ingredients are cooked into meals, critters are mixed with monster parts to brew elixirs, and ore, gems and ancient parts feed armor upgrades and trades. Each group below lists the item, what it does when cooked or spent, and where it turns up.
A cooked ingredient restores twice the hearts it does raw, and an effect ingredient adds its bonus to the dish. Keep to one kind of effect per dish, because two different effects cancel each other out.
