Owa Daim Shrine (Stasis Trial)

Owa Daim is a machine-filled hall that teaches Stasis. Freeze the spinning gear to cross, use Stasis on rolling boulders to get up the ramp (the chest with a Traveler’s Shield is at the top), then freeze the blocking boulder and hit it repeatedly with the Iron Sledgehammer so it flies out of the way.

How to find it

Go to the southern end of the plateau. Either climb the slopes behind the Temple of Time, or scale the cliffs near the farmhouse on the southern tip, resting on the small ledges to recover stamina.

Solution

Take the Stasis rune

The moving platform ahead is too fast to ride across. Use the pedestal on the left to unlock Stasis on the Sheikah Slate.

Freeze the gear

Target the big gear on the left and freeze it when the platform it turns is level, then run across before the effect ends.

Get past the boulders

The next hall drops boulders down a ramp, and one hit can throw you off the edge. Let one pass, then freeze the next as it falls. Run up beside it while it is held.

Reach the shield chest

Freeze another passing boulder, continue up the slope beyond where they drop and open the chest on the higher platform.

Launch the blocking boulder

Turn left at the entry ledge. A motionless boulder sits in the way, with an Iron Sledgehammer leaning close by. Equip the hammer, freeze the boulder and hit it again and again. Each hit builds up force, shown by a growing arrow. When Stasis ends it flies off, opening the bridge to the monk Owa Daim.

Chests and rewards

  • Traveler’s Shield: in the chest on the platform above the boulder ramp.
  • Iron Sledgehammer: a weapon lying near the stationary boulder, free to take.
  • Spirit Orb: from the monk at the end.
