Jitan Sa’mi Shrine (Jitan Sa’mi’s Blessing)

Jitan Sa’mi is a blessing shrine hidden at the Spring of Wisdom. Free the dragon Naydra of the Malice eyeballs on her body, take the scale she drops, and place it in the water in front of the statue of the goddess. The door to the shrine opens, and a Frostspear waits in the chest.

How to find it

Climb Mount Lanayru to its summit. A villager in the garden of Hateno Village will tell you about the Spring of Wisdom quest, but you can simply walk up. The peak is bitterly cold and filled with Lizalfos and Keese, so bring cold-resistant clothing or food, fire weapons and plenty of arrows.

Solution

Shoot the first eyeball

At the spring you meet Naydra, who is corrupted by Malice but does not attack you. Shoot the eyeball on her head while she is still, since later it will be harder to hit.

Link running toward the spring with Naydra's eyes glowing overhead

Chase her into the sky

Naydra takes off. Run to the peak, open the Paraglider on the updrafts, and use slow motion from the air to shoot the next eyeball.

Follow her down the mountain

She then flies down the mountainside. Glide after her and shoot the remaining two eyeballs. Once all four are gone, a cutscene returns you to the summit.

Offer the scale

Shoot Naydra again and she drops a scale as she flies away. Pick it up and throw it into the water in front of the goddess statue. The door opens and reveals the shrine.

Claim the rewards

Walk inside, open the chest for the Frostspear, and speak to Monk Jitan Sa’mi for a Spirit Orb.

Chests and rewards

  • Frostspear: in the chest inside the shrine.
  • Spirit Orb: from Monk Jitan Sa’mi.
