A tablet at Mount Taran says three giants guard orbs that lead to the shrine. Take the ancient orb from each of the three Hinox, a normal one on an island in Hanu Pond, a Blue Hinox in Uten Marsh and a Black Hinox in Rabella Wetlands, and place them on the pedestals at Taran Pass.

Starting the quest

Read the tablet

Go to Taran Pass, east of Rabella Wetlands. Between two flaming skull posts stands a stone tablet about the ancient orbs guarded by the giants of Mount Taran. Reading it starts the quest.

The three giants

The youngest

The ordinary Hinox is on the island in the middle of Hanu Pond, north-east of the pass. Defeat it, or sneak and steal its orb, then take the orb to the pedestal.

The middle brother

The Blue Hinox is on the island in the centre of Uten Marsh, south-east of the pass. A treasure chest sits on the far side of the tree from him.

The oldest

The Black Hinox lies asleep at the top of Rabella Wetlands among other monsters. He rests on a chest with a Gold Rupee (300), which you can pull out of the ground with Magnesis.

Raise the shrine

Place each ancient orb on its pedestal at Taran Pass. When all three are set, the Tawa Jinn Shrine rises from the ground between them. Enter for a Spirit Orb.

Chests and rewards

  • Spirit Orb from Tawa Jinn Shrine.
  • A treasure chest behind the tree at Uten Marsh, near the Blue Hinox.
  • Gold Rupee (300) in the chest under the Black Hinox.
  • Great Thunderblade: chest in Tawa Jinn Shrine.
