The Hinox is the base version of the giant cyclops. It is found asleep and wears weapons on a necklace you can steal from. It has 600 health and is the easiest of its family. Aim for the eye with arrows to knock it down, then hit it while it is on the ground.
Behavior
It sleeps until it notices you. Once awake it stomps, swings its arms and rips trees out of the ground to swing or throw. Once its health falls below half, it covers its eye with its hands.
How to beat it
Approach quietly
Sneak toward the sleeping giant. You can take weapons from its necklace without waking it.
Shoot the eye
Fire an arrow into the eye. It is stunned and falls, staying down for several seconds.
Strike while it is down
Run in and use your best weapon on its head. Back away before it gets up.
Handle the tree
If it grabs a tree, stay far away, since the reach is wide. Shoot the eye again to stop it.
