The Hunt for Bubbul Gems is a long-running collection quest. Bubbulfrogs hide in caves all over Hyrule and drop a Bubbul Gem when you defeat them. Hand the gems to Koltin, who sells his handmade masks and Mystic armor for them, and keep going until you have all 8 rewards. There are 147 gems in total, one per cave, so a 100% run visits every cave.
How the quest works
Koltin dreams of becoming a legendary creature called a Satori and needs Bubbul Gems to do it. You start the quest by finding his stall in Eldin Canyon. After the first meeting he packs up and travels Hyrule at night; the follow-up quest, The Search for Koltin, tells you to ask his older brother Kilton in Tarrey Town, who says the stall is sometimes seen northwest of the town after dark.
Find a Bubbulfrog
Bubbulfrogs live in caves, usually clinging to a wall or ceiling or hiding behind rocks. Shoot one with an arrow or hit it to weaken it and it drops a Bubbul Gem.
Collect gems as you go
Every cave has one, so work through the caves region by region rather than all at once.
Trade with Koltin
Give him gems and he rewards you. Each reward unlocks once you have handed in a set number of gems, listed below.
