How to find the entrance
Launch from Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower and glide southeast over Hyrule Ridge toward a pale, rounded rock hilltop with a toppled stone column on it. A large round hole opens in the top of the rock, wide enough to see the cave floor far below. Glide straight in; there is no need to climb.
Korok Seed: before you drop in, look up at the cave ceiling just inside the mouth. A tree stump sits there, and you can Ascend through it to pop out on the hilltop above, where a Korok is hiding for a Korok Seed.
Route through the cave
Deal with the gloom hands
The cave floor is covered in red gloom pools that spawn gloom hands, and they will drain your hearts if you stand in the gloom without resistance. Stay on the rock, eat an Attack Up meal and shoot Bomb Flower arrows at the hands from a higher spot instead of wading in.
Beat Phantom Ganon (optional)
Destroying the hands makes Phantom Ganon rise from the gloom. Fight him with a sword and dodge his strikes. He drops a Demon King’s Bow and a Gloom Sword, so clear room in your inventory first. You can also skip the fight and run along the walls to the climb.
Climb to the Bubbulfrog
Follow the rock slopes and vines up the cavern wall to the higher ledge at its northwest end. Brightbloom Seeds, Flint and Amber lie along the way. The Bubbulfrog hangs on the ceiling above the ledge: shoot it with an arrow, then hit it when it drops. Pick up the Bubbul Gem and take it to Koltin for The Hunt for Bubbul Gems!
Reach the shrine
Keep climbing past the gem. Taki-ihaban Shrine’s teal beam shines from the top of the cave and its green seal sits on a rock shelf at the end. Touch the seal and step onto the blue platform to enter; once you do, you can fast travel to it from the map.
Leave the cave
From the shrine’s entry platform, find a spot under the cave roof where the Ascend prompt appears and rise through the ceiling. You come out on top of the ridge near the hole you dropped through.

- Light does not clear gloom underground, so bring gloom-resistant armor or food.
- Mine the rocks on the climb for Flint, Amber and Luminous Stone.
