How to find the entrance

Follow the road across North Hyrule Plain to Carok Bridge and look northwest, over the Regencia River, for the pale rock outcrops standing in the grass. The cave is a wide dark mouth in the base of one of them, right beside the road, with a traveler named Gladis standing in front of it. Bring a bow, a sturdy shield and a light source.

Route through the cave

Two Like Likes hang from the ceiling of the first chamber and drop on you. Keep back until one opens its mouth, then hit the red core inside it with your strongest weapon or Bomb Flower arrows. Each leaves a Like Like Stone, and loot such as a Traveler’s Claymore (or Soldier’s Claymore, Knight’s Claymore or Royal Claymore, depending on your progress) lies on the floor nearby.

Traveler’s Shield chests

Two chests sit on the rocky mound in the Like Like chamber, one in a shallow nook in the rock and a second a few steps further up. Both hold a Traveler’s Shield; the second has Shield Guard Up +5. Free a shield slot first if yours are full.

Follow the cave on to a chamber with a skylight hole in the ceiling; Sticky Lizards scurry over the rocks here. Use Ascend under the flat rock slab that juts out overhead, then wade and swim along the stream and climb the mossy wall beyond. A Horriblin clings to the ceiling of the passage above: shoot it off before it drops. The sound of the waterfall tells you the next cavern is close.

Climbing Gear chest

A tall waterfall pours into the pool that fills the next cavern. Climb the stepped rock slope beside the pool until you are high on the cavern wall, then glide across through the spray of the falls to the ledge beyond, where Brightcaps and a Bomb Flower grow. The glowing Brightcaps mark the hidden chamber behind the water. Follow it to a stone shrine hung with red and gold banners and open the chest between its pillars for the Climbing Gear, a body armor with Climb Speed Up.

Bubbulfrog and Bubbul Gem

Above the waterfall the stream spreads into a wide shallow pool dotted with rocks, and the Bubbulfrog sits on one of them (or on the roof toward the back). Shoot it as it hops; a few arrows pop it. Pick up the Bubbul Gem for Koltin in The Hunt for Bubbul Gems!

Exit

You do not need to walk back. Stand on the shelf under the low ceiling near the pool and use Ascend to rise through the rock into the tall grass of North Hyrule Plain, within sight of New Serenne Stable.

Tips

  • Glowing Cave Fish swim in the pool below the shrine and Hot-Footed Frogs sit in the shallows.
  • Expect to lose weapon durability on the Like Likes; fuse a rock to a weapon you do not mind breaking.
