How to find the entrance

Head into Tanagar Canyon from Lindor’s Brow and follow the sandy canyon floor along the east wall. At the top of a rubble-strewn sandy slope a large, round hole opens in the rock face; a few rupees and wild plants lie on the approach.

A Rock Like hangs from the ceiling inside the mouth, a ball of rock with a green flower on it. Swing a heavy weapon at the flower to knock it down and defeat it, then walk in.

Route through the cave

Grab the Amber

Right inside the first small chamber, a chest on the floor holds Amber.

Cross the gloom

Follow the tunnel, picking up Arrow x5 on the way, to a wider cavern with red gloom pools across the floor. Stay on the dry rock and collect Luminous Stone and Flint from the walls. Ahead is a huge mound of rock.

Defeat the Stalnox

The mound is a sleeping Stalnox and it rises as you get close. Stay on the move, shoot Bomb Flower arrows at its glowing eye and knock it down for a free hit with your heaviest weapon. It drops a Stalnox Horn and a Hinox Tooth, and Knight’s weapons lie around the arena.

Break through the rubble

Past the arena, a passage lined with carved Zonai stone leads into narrow tunnels blocked by red-brown rubble. Smash through it with hammers or explosives; hammers break quickly here, so carry plenty.

Open the Ruby chest

At the end of the first run of rubble tunnels, a chest sits in a ruined stone chamber. It holds a Ruby.

Shoot the Bubbulfrog

Keep tunnelling on into a wide cavern and look up: a pale Bubbulfrog clings to the wall high above. Shoot it with an arrow, finish it when it drops, and take the Bubbul Gem to Koltin for The Hunt for Bubbul Gems!

Climb out

Break through the last of the rubble, then climb the wall of a vertical shaft toward the light; bring stamina food. A short tunnel at the top leads to daylight on the rock face of the canyon.

Tips

  • Bomb Flower arrows are the easiest way to hurt the Stalnox from range.
  • Rock Salt and a Rusty Claymore also lie in the Stalnox cavern.
