Aside quests are small personal requests that every warrior except the Knight Construct makes once The Art of the Blade is cleared and you have handed in the quest “Learning the Blade” (3 Golden Apple). Each request is a short set of two or three tasks, such as defeating a number of enemies as that warrior, smashing weak points, or enhancing weapons, and every task pays out on its own. Tasks are done during ordinary battles and challenges, new tasks only appear after the current set is finished, and clearing a warrior’s requests works toward a Bonus Conversation with them. This page lists all 185 requests, 486 tasks in total.

How Aside Quests Work
Unlocking Aside Quests
Finish Chapter 1’s second battle, The Art of the Blade, and a quest called “Learning the Blade” appears on the map in Central Hyrule. Hand in 3 Golden Apple and Zelda gains new basic combos; completing it also switches on aside quests and opens the next story battle, Where Ancient Wisdom Sleeps. Because the switch is flipped only after that hand-in, aside quests are not yet available in To the Great Plateau or The Art of the Blade. Warriors you recruit later bring their own requests as soon as they join.
Doing the Tasks
Each warrior shows two or three tasks at a time, and a fresh set only appears after you finish the current one. Kills and weak-point gauges are counted whenever you play the named warrior, while lines marked “in a single battle” or “in a single flight mode battle” must be reached within one mission. Some tasks are done on the map instead, such as completing a number of quests, enhancing weapons at the Weapons Research Base, or supplying an ingredient to camp for a battle. The pause menu in battle lists your aside quests, and the map has its own aside quest icon (you can also press Y while viewing the map). The icon starts on the Great Plateau and moves to the centre of Tanagar Canyon once Growing Suspicion is finished. Look over the list before a mission starts so you can bring the right warrior.
Finding the Right Battle
After you hand in the quest “A Brand-New Feature!” (5 Hylian Tomato and 10 Little Frox Trophy), the Material Sensor can also point you to the battles and challenges where a chosen warrior’s request can be finished. At first you can assign three aside quests to the sensor, counted separately from ordinary quests, and a later sensor upgrade raises that to five. The sensor and its upgrades are covered with the other map quests on the service and support quests page.
Rewards
Aside quest tasks pay in materials, Rupees, Zonaite Steel in one-handed, two-handed or spear form, weapons, gems, Korok Seeds or a new camp effect. Rupee payouts run from 200 to 2000, and the largest, 2000 Rupees, goes to Calamo for bringing the Knight Construct and Calamo into the same battle. The last tasks of many warriors pay out Pure Zonaite Steel, the upgraded form of the material. The tables below name the reward beside every task.
Calamo’s Korok Seed Rewards
Calamo is the only warrior whose aside quests hand out Korok Seeds, and they add up to 12 across four tasks: 5 for “Find 2 Koroks”, 3 for “Exploit 2 enemy weaknesses as Calamo”, 2 for “Defeat 2 Lynels as Calamo”, and 2 for “Find 1 Korok”. Hers start with “Complete 2 quests” and a weapon enhancement, and end with a Phantom Ganon defeat, two perfect dodges and five exploited weaknesses, which pay Pure Zonaite Steel (One-Handed) and a Flux Construct III Core. The 18 Bonus Conversation Quests
Once you clear The Crimson Omen (Chapter 4), the map starts showing one overarching quest per warrior, with more appearing as your roster grows. These quests track that warrior’s aside quests, and completing one unlocks a Bonus Conversation, a text-based chat, with that warrior. There are 18, one for every character except the Knight Construct. Each sits in the map region listed below.
