| Total | 64 rings across Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. Not all of them can be found in one Seasons save. |
|---|---|
| Ring Box | Level 1 holds 1 ring, Level 2 holds 3, Level 3 holds 5 (Level 3 needs a linked game). |
| Appraisal | Vasu, Horon Village: 20 Rupees per ring. Duplicates are offered back for 30 Rupees. |
| Where rings come from | Fixed chests and gifts, Vasu’s milestone rewards, random Gasha Nuts, Maple, and minigames, or the linked game. |
Nine rings are Ages-only, and several more need a linked game. Some rings are random prizes, so a single save may not turn up every one. Rings from chests and Gasha Nuts arrive unappraised, so Vasu names each one for 20 Rupees before you know what it does. Only one ring can be worn at a time, so the Ring Box lets you carry spares and swap between them.

How rings work
Pick up your first ring from Vasu in Horon Village. The Ring Box in your pause menu starts at Level 1, which holds a single ring. Open it from the menu to choose the ring you want equipped.

Bring unnamed rings to Vasu’s shop in Horon Village and choose Appraise. Each ring costs 20 Rupees and is identified as you pay. If you already own that ring, Vasu offers to buy the duplicate back for 30 Rupees.

Ring Box Level 2 comes from the red Goron in the cave on Goron Mountain, and holds 3 rings. Level 3 comes through the linked game and holds 5.

Rings with a fixed Seasons location
Power Ring L-1
Clear the gauntlet room in Explorer’s Crypt, and a chest on the ledge holds this ring. You will not know what it is until Vasu appraises it in Horon Village. It is the first ring with a damage bonus for your sword.

Armor Ring L-2
Fly to the hidden chest on the second floor of Goron Mountain with Roc’s Cape. It is the only Seasons ring that cuts the damage you take on every hit.

Red Ring
Defeat the four golden beasts. The Golden Sage in the cave near Gnarled Root Dungeon then gives you the Red Ring, which doubles your sword damage.

Blast Ring
Sail with the pirates to the Western Coast. After the pirate ship docks, a chest near the shore holds the Blast Ring.

Quicksand Ring
Go to the cave in the water near North Horon in autumn. The ring lets you walk across quicksand without sinking.

Discovery Ring
Light the torches in Gnarled Root Dungeon with Ember Seeds, then open the chest it reveals. The ring makes a sound when you pass soft soil, which helps you find Gasha Seed spots.

Rings from Vasu
Vasu gives the Slayer’s Ring after 1,000 kills, the Rupee Ring after collecting 10,000 Rupees in one save, and the 100th Ring after appraising 100 rings in one save. Each is a milestone reward with no other source.
Rings from Gasha Nuts, Maple and minigames
Most rings marked Random are prizes from Gasha Nuts, and some come from Maple. A Gasha Nut can hold a ring, Rupees, a Potion, a Heart or, very rarely, a Piece of Heart. Plant a Gasha Seed on any soft soil you find; the spots and rarity are on the Gasha Seed locations page. Maple’s visits come after 30 kills, or 15 with Maple’s Ring, as the early trading chapter shows.
Rings that Vasu identifies for you appear in the Ring Box under the name “a ring” until you appraise them. Keep unappraised rings in the box so you do not lose track of which one is which.

Linked-game and Ages-only rings
Rings marked Linked (Power Ring L-3, Heart Ring L-1, Swimmer’s Ring, Snowshoe Ring, Blue Joy Ring, Spin Ring and Victory Ring) need a linked save. The nine rings marked Ages only (Armor L-1, Blue Ring, GBA Time, Pegasus, Light L-1 and L-2, Bomber’s, Gold Luck and Gold Joy) cannot be obtained in Seasons. Where Seasons and Ages are both possible, the Seasons source is in the table above.
