Decayed Guardian

The Decayed Guardian is a Stalker that fell apart long ago. It has no legs and only 500 health, so it is the easiest Guardian to scrap. Most are dormant, but some still wake and fire when you step near them.

Where to find it

Rusted hulks lie across the Great Plateau and Hyrule Field and around Hyrule Castle. Do not confuse them with the lifeless Fallen Guardians that litter some ruins; those never fire.

How to beat it

Check whether it is awake

Approach at an angle and watch for the red targeting light. A sleeping one stays silent.

Shoot the eye

An arrow in the eye stuns it. An Ancient Arrow destroys it instantly.

Hack it apart

With 500 health it dies to a few heavy hits from a strong melee weapon. The Master Sword glows near Guardians and cuts through it fast.
