Twilight Princess HD has seven places that sell goods, and every one of them keeps a fixed stock at a fixed price. Prices only change when a shop is replaced, which happens once: after you fund Malo Mart’s takeover, the overpriced Chudley’s shop in Castle Town becomes a Malo Mart branch with bargain prices. The tables below list every item, the price in Rupees and the point in the story at which it becomes available. Fees for services such as fortune telling and cannon rides are in the last section.

Ordon and Faron
Sera’s Sundries
| Item | Price | Notes | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Milk | 10 Rupees | Needs an empty Bottle; the bottle Sera gives you after the cat quest holds the first serving for free | |
| Bee Larva | 10 Rupees | Fishing bait; keeps in a Bottle | |
| Slingshot and 50 pellets | 30 Rupees | Your first ranged weapon; the shop only stocks it once, so it is a one-time purchase | |
| Lantern Oil | 20 Rupees | Appears only after you own the Slingshot |
Sera’s Sundries is the small shop just inside the entrance of Ordon Village. Sera refuses to serve anyone until her cat comes home with a fish, which happens during the first day’s errands. Once she is back to normal, spend 30 Rupees on the Slingshot as soon as you can afford it, because the village children give you the idea in the very next scene and you need it before leaving for Faron.

Coro’s Store
Coro runs a lantern-oil stand beside Faron Spring in South Faron Woods. The first time you speak to him, he hands over a lit Lantern as a free sample. After that he makes a one-time offer: an empty Bottle already full of Lantern Oil for 100 Rupees. Take it, because this is one of the four Bottles in the game. From then on he refills either the Lantern or an empty Bottle for 20 Rupees. The oil gauge never refills on its own, so top it up before dark areas such as the Faron swamp.

Trill’s Shop
Further north, near the path to the Forest Temple, Coro’s pet bird Trill watches a small shop that sells Lantern Oil for 20 Rupees and Red Potion for 30 Rupees. You dip an empty Bottle (or the Lantern) into the barrel you want and then drop your payment into the box beside Trill. The bird shouts “thief” and pecks you if you leave without paying, so pay before you walk out.

Kakariko Village
Malo Mart
| Item | Price | Notes | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red Potion | 30 Rupees | Needs an empty Bottle | |
| Wooden Shield | 50 Rupees | Burns if hit by fire; buy the Hylian Shield instead if you can | |
| Hawkeye | 100 Rupees | Binoculars that attach to the bow; the only place to buy it | |
| Hylian Shield | 200 Rupees | Does not burn; the shop is the only source |
Malo Mart is the general store beside the village spring. Malo is rude but his prices are honest. The Hylian Shield is the one purchase worth planning for: Death Mountain will burn a wooden shield, and nothing else in the game sells the Hylian version. The Hawkeye is cheap and zooms in on distant targets. Red Potions are always 30 Rupees here, but later you can buy them for half price in Castle Town.

Barnes’ Bomb Shop
| Item | Price | Notes | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bomb Bag with bombs (Premium Kit) | 120 Rupees | One-time offer; your first Bomb Bag, sold once the Gorons trade with Kakariko again after the Goron Mines | |
| Bombs (10 / 20 / 30) | 30 / 60 / 90 Rupees | Three Rupees each; needs a bag with room | |
| Water Bombs (5 / 10 / 15) | 30 / 60 / 90 Rupees | Six Rupees each; required for the Lakebed Temple. The exact trigger is around the Zora Armor or once Lanayru is cleansed, both in the Lanayru chapter | |
| Bomblings (1 / 5 / 10) | 6 / 30 / 60 Rupees | Unlocked once you carry the Master Sword |
Barnes sells in the building at the north end of the village. At the start of the game he has nothing because the Gorons have cut off his supply. After you win over the Goron elders, he offers the Premium Kit, a Bomb Bag already filled with bombs, for 120 Rupees. Later he adds Water Bombs and finally Bomblings. He also buys back an entire bag of bombs, but at a lower price than he sells them, so you cannot profit. Do not take your Lantern out in front of him: he slams the counter and soaks you with water.

Castle Town
Chudley’s Fine Goods and Fancy Trinkets Emporium
| Item | Price in HD | Price in the original |
|---|---|---|
| Bombs | 12,000 Rupees | 3,000 |
| Water Bombs | 24,000 Rupees | 6,000 |
| Pocket Bomblings | 36,000 Rupees | 9,000 |
| Arrows (10) | 10,000 Rupees | 2,000 |
| Red Potion | 12,000 Rupees | 3,000 |
| Blue Potion | 40,000 Rupees | 10,000 |
| Magic Armor | 400,000 Rupees | 100,000 |
This shop in the south-west of the central square is a joke. The guard at the door will not let you in unless your boots are shiny, so pay the boy outside, Soal, 10 Rupees for a polish. Inside, every price is four times higher in HD than in the original, which puts every item beyond the 9,999-Rupee ceiling of the biggest wallet. You cannot buy anything here; its only purpose is to be bought out by Malo Mart.

Malo Mart Castle Branch
| Item | Price | Notes | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arrows (10) | 5 Rupees | Temporarily replaced by the Malo Mart Stamp until the stamp is bought | |
| Red Potion | 15 Rupees | Half the Kakariko price; needs a Bottle | |
| Blue Potion | 50 Rupees | Restores more health; needs a Bottle | |
| Bombs (set of 30) | 45 Rupees | One and a half Rupees each, half the price in Kakariko | |
| Water Bombs (set of 15) | 45 Rupees | Three Rupees each | |
| Bomblings (set of 10) | 30 Rupees | Three Rupees each | |
| Malo Mart Stamp | 50 Rupees | Miiverse stamp, HD only; vanishes from the shelf once bought | |
| Magic Armor | 598 Rupees | Makes you invulnerable but drains Rupees; your wallet must hold at least 598 |
The branch opens in Chudley’s old building once Malo has raised the money. Chudley himself now works behind the counter, far more cheerful than before. Everything is much cheaper than in Kakariko, so restock here. The Magic Armor is the headline item and the only way to reach it is to wear the Big Wallet, because the starting Wallet holds 500 Rupees in HD and the armor costs 598.

How to open the Castle Town branch
| Step | What you do | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | After you pull the Master Sword, talk to Gor Ebizo in the Kakariko Malo Mart and pay for the repair of the bridge between Hyrule Field and east Castle Town | 1,000 Rupees |
| 2 | Carry the barrel of Hot Springwater from Kakariko to the tired Goron beside the repaired bridge before it cools | Free |
| 3 | Return to the Kakariko Malo Mart and fund the purchase of Chudley’s shop. The Hot Springwater saves Malo money, so this donation drops from 2,000 to 200 | 200 Rupees |
| 4 | Buy the Magic Armor in the new Castle Town branch | 598 Rupees |
The Malo Mart plan runs through two donations and a delivery. Give the 1,000 Rupees to Gor Ebizo first; the repaired bridge opens a direct road into Castle Town from the field. Take the barrel of Hot Springwater and carry it before it cools: enemies that hit you will make you drop it, so avoid fights. Delivering it cuts the cost of the Castle Town purchase from 2,000 to 200 Rupees. Pay it, and the branch opens. In total you need 1,798 Rupees to own the Magic Armor, which is why the Big Wallet should come first. Gor Ebizo is the Goron who takes the donations in the Kakariko shop.

| Fortune telling | Madame Fanadi’s Palace, Castle Town | 10 Rupees | Career: a hint about the story. Love: the location of a Heart Piece you have not collected |
| Donations | Charlo, near the goat pens on the west road of Castle Town | 30 or 50 Rupees per donation | A Piece of Heart after 1,000 Rupees in total |
| Cannon ride | Fyer, Lake Hylia | 10 Rupees | Launches you to the Flight-By-Fowl platform; with Auru’s Memo it also reaches the Gerudo Desert |

| STAR Game | STAR tent, Castle Town | 10 Rupees (15 for the second game, 20 for the time trial) | Quiver upgrades and Rupee prizes |
Most services are one-time costs with a one-time reward. The important ones are Charlo (a Piece of Heart for 1,000 Rupees over several visits) and Fyer’s 300 Rupees, which are required to reach the City in the Sky. Fanadi’s “Love” reading is useful after you have visited a few areas, since it points to a missing Heart Piece.

Earning Rupees
Rupee colors: green 1, blue 5, yellow 10, red 20, purple 50, orange 100, silver 200. Chests with orange and silver Rupees are your best income early on. After you have all 60 Poe Souls, Jovani’s cat Gengle hands over 200 Rupees every time you talk to him, once per visit to Castle Town, which makes it a steady source of Rupees. Agitha also pays Rupees for the Golden Bugs you bring her. In HD the wallet limit is the bottleneck: give Agitha any single Golden Bug for the Big Wallet (1,000), and all 24 for the Giant Wallet (2,000).

What to buy first
Buy in this order: the Slingshot (30), the oil Bottle at Coro’s (100), the Hylian Shield (200) before you climb Death Mountain, the Hawkeye (100) when you have spare Rupees, and Barnes’ Premium Kit (120) once the Goron Mines open the road. Save the 1,798 Rupees for Malo Mart‘s Magic Armor until after the Big Wallet, and stock up on bombs and Water Bombs at the Castle Town branch rather than Barnes, where they cost twice as much.
