Heart Piece Locations

After you finish the story and have cleared your Kinstone fusions, play the Ocarina of Wind and warp to the Wind Crest at Lake Hylia. A white puff shows on the lake stump; shrink there and a Minish chamber has opened with Librari inside. He rewards you with the sixth Heart Container.

Soon after Ezlo joins you, the path to the Deepwood Shrine passes the spot where a voice cries for help. Before you answer, walk west of that spot and pick up the Piece of Heart on the path. You reach it at full size, so you can take it on your first visit. Needs: None. Found in the chapter The Picori Festival and the Minish Woods.

Shrink at the stump and enter Minish Village. At the north-east end of the village a wooden walkway runs east of the bridge to Festari’s abbey, and the piece lies at the end of it by the water. It is open as soon as you can shrink, so take it before or after the Deepwood Shrine. Needs: Shrink at a stump. Found in the chapter The Picori Festival and the Minish Woods.

After the Madderpillar gives you the Gust Jar, return to its room and suck the cobweb off the south door. Walk up the sandy passage beyond it to a pedestal that holds the piece. Needs: Gust Jar. Found in the chapter Deepwood Shrine.

Clear the dust from the floor of the room north of the barrel room with the Gust Jar and step on the switches that appear; one makes a blue warp pad. After you open the Big Key chest, the floor switch beside it makes a red pad that returns you to the entrance room. Step on the blue pad there and it carries you to a ledge with the Piece of Heart. Use the pad again to come back. Needs: Gust Jar, Big Key. Found in the chapter Deepwood Shrine.

Fuse Kinstones with the Hurdy-Gurdy Man in Hyrule Town; it is your first fusion. The thorns on the big hollow tree close to your house disappear. Walk inside and take the piece from the pedestal. Needs: Kinstone Bag, fusion with the Hurdy-Gurdy Man. Found in the chapter Getting the Pegasus Boots.

At the foot of the mountain, walk west past the ladder and north, then bomb the wall between the two tree stumps. Inside, bomb the three rocks to uncover three chests. The north chest holds the Piece of Heart; the others hold a blue Kinstone piece and 50 rupees. Needs: Bombs. Found in the chapter Ascent to Mount Crenel.

From the Grip Ring cave, go west and climb the ladder to the north wall. Bomb the wall between the two rocks just right of the large rock wall. The cave is a small fairy spring where fairies heal you, and the Piece of Heart waits beside the water. Needs: Bombs, Grip Ring. Found in the chapter Ascent to Mount Crenel.

You pass the doorway to this piece while Minish-sized and cannot reach it yet. Later, past the track switch, cross the rail bridge on foot in the room with the overturned cart and bomb the cracked south wall between the two pots. The hidden room holds the piece. Needs: Bombs. Found in the chapter Cave of Flames.

In the south-east of the garden, cut the grass to reveal a ladder. Climb down and follow the cave past the Keese to a swordsman’s dojo; the Piece of Heart sits on a pedestal on the left. The swordsman cannot train you yet, but the piece is free to take. Needs: None. Found in the chapter Infusing the Picori Blade.

Use the Cane of Pacci on the holes north of Lon Lon Ranch to reach the grassy plateau, shrink at the stump and follow the water’s edge at Minish size. A little past the round cave, a small pond with a wooden jetty holds the piece on a pedestal. Needs: Cane of Pacci. Found in the chapter Getting the Pegasus Boots.

In the house with the dog, use the Cane of Pacci to flip the blue vase and shrink. Leave by the front door, head north-west along the wall and climb the vine to the back of the inn. A small tiled room there holds a glowing pot and the Piece of Heart on the floor. Needs: Cane of Pacci. Found in the chapter Getting the Pegasus Boots.

Shrink on the second stump in the Wind Ruins, walk south to the cliff and climb down by the stairs into a small leafy cave full of pits. Work around the pits and the red winged enemies to the pedestal. Needs: Shrink at the second stump. Found in the chapter Castor Wilds and the Wind Ruins.

Take the door at the far east end of the first room and climb two floors. Shrink on the Minish Portal, drop through the hole, drop through the next hole to land on the first floor, then walk through the small passage on the right. Grow back to normal size there and take the piece. Needs: Shrink at a Minish Portal. Found in the chapter Fortress of Winds.

Play Anju’s Cucco Roundup through to the last round, which gives you 55 seconds to return three cuccos. One of them ends up across the river, so you need the Flippers. Return all three and Anju gives you the piece. Needs: Flippers. Found in the chapter Hyrule Town Side Quests and Kinstone Fusions.

Pay 10 rupees at Simon’s Simulation in the town centre and lie down in the bed. Defeat every monster in the purple arena and the Piece of Heart is your prize. Simon lets you replay the simulations afterwards. Needs: 10 rupees. Found in the chapter Hyrule Town Side Quests and Kinstone Fusions.

Fuse a red Kinstone piece with the Forest Minish in the Minish house near the Lake Hylia Wind Crest. A hollow tree opens on the left side of the clearing in Western Wood; walk inside for the piece. Needs: Fusion with the Forest Minish by the Lake Hylia Wind Crest. Found in the chapter Hyrule Town Side Quests and Kinstone Fusions.

Warp to Lake Hylia, walk to the red-roofed house at the north end and dive into the small pond to its left. The piece lies at the bottom. Needs: Flippers. Found in the chapter Hyrule Town Side Quests and Kinstone Fusions.

Dash into the tree in the north-west of the ranch with the Pegasus Boots to reveal a stump, then shrink. In the Minish-sized grass pick up the red Kinstone piece and then the piece on the platform at the end of the path. Needs: Pegasus Boots. Found in the chapter Hyrule Town Side Quests and Kinstone Fusions.

Climb the rock walls on the east side of Mt. Crenel and enter the mine-shaft door of Grayblade’s dojo. Use the clone ability to hold down both coloured switches and cross the block room. The piece is on the pedestal in the dojo hall. Needs: Grip Ring, White Sword with two Elements. Found in the chapter Collectibles Sweep Before the Temple of Droplets.

Fuse Kinstones with Melari in his mine. A beanstalk grows at the edge of the summit; climb it to a cloud ringed with red rupees and take the piece from the pedestal. Needs: Fusion with Melari. Found in the chapter Collectibles Sweep Before the Temple of Droplets.

Climb Crenel Wall, take the ladder on the left and equip the Mole Mitts. Dig through the sand beside the Crenel Hermit’s cave to a pedestal with the piece. A Mysterious Wall for the Goron quest stands just beyond it. Needs: Mole Mitts. Found in the chapter Collectibles Sweep Before the Temple of Droplets.

In the Minish Woods, enter the cave with the pool room; a chest between the pools holds a Kinstone piece. Continue through the dark cave beyond it with the Mole Mitts to the pedestal that holds the piece. Needs: Flippers, Mole Mitts. Found in the chapter Collectibles Sweep Before the Temple of Droplets.

Shrink at the stump with a red mushroom beside it in the south-west of the hills and fuse a blue piece with the Forest Minish inside. A beanstalk sprouts on the cliff. Climb it to the cloud for the piece and a chest of 200 rupees. Needs: Fusion with the Forest Minish in the south-west house. Found in the chapter Collectibles Sweep Before the Temple of Droplets.

In the far north-east of the swamp, swim to the small island with a cave. Inside, the blocks slide toward the heart, but you can push the blocks on the right aside to make a path to the piece. Needs: Flippers. Found in the chapter Collectibles Sweep Before the Temple of Droplets.

After the Minish fusion, shrink at the north-east Minish Portal, cross the swamps to the south-east and swim to the Minish cave. A room of blocks guarded by red and blue Spiny Beetles holds the piece; use the Pegasus Boots to clear them. Needs: Flippers, fusion with the Minish in the western house of Minish Village. Dash into the tree in the south-west of the field to reveal a stump and shrink. Swim along the river at Minish size to a small cave guarded by water; the piece sits on its pedestal. Needs: Pegasus Boots, Flippers. Found in the chapter Collectibles Sweep Before the Temple of Droplets.

Warp to Lake Hylia and swim across the open water, past the Octoroks, to a small grassy island. The Piece of Heart is on its pedestal. Needs: Flippers. Found in the chapter Collectibles Sweep Before the Temple of Droplets.

Waveblade’s dojo is inside the tree on the south-west shore of the lake. The piece sits on the pedestal in the dojo hall. Needs: Flippers. Found in the chapter Collectibles Sweep Before the Temple of Droplets.

Push the tombstone in the north-west corner of the graveyard to find a hidden cavern. Split into three Links and stand on the three coloured pads at once to open the way to the piece. Needs: Three-Element White Sword (three Links). Found in the chapter Royal Valley and the Royal Crypt.

Fill the hole in the north-west of Lon Lon Ranch with the Cane of Pacci, jump in and head north to Veil Falls. Go east and down the steps; the piece sits on a stone tile at the tip of the little peninsula by the dojo. Needs: Cane of Pacci. Found in the chapter Veil Falls and the Cloud Tops.

Climb down the ladder into the water and swim north to the small wooden dock. The piece floats just above it; climb onto the dock and take it. Needs: Flippers. Found in the chapter Veil Falls and the Cloud Tops.

Past the skull and torch rooms, cross the long mesh bridge in the room with a hole and purple blocks. Moblins patrol it. The piece is at the far end. Needs: Roc’s Cape. Found in the chapter Palace of Winds.

Stand under the bell in the arch of the Hyrule Town gate, jump with Roc’s Cape and glide up to ring it. The piece drops out. Needs: Roc’s Cape. Found in the chapter Collecting the Upgrades Before the Four Sword.

Use the Pegasus Boots to reach the land in the far west of the swamp, push the gravestone in the south-west and go down. The piece sits on a pedestal on the left side of the dojo room. Needs: Pegasus Boots. Found in the chapter Collecting the Upgrades Before the Four Sword.

Jump the gaps along the shore with Roc’s Cape and swim through the deep water to a tiny island north of the Temple of Droplets. The piece is on its pedestal. Needs: Roc’s Cape, Flippers. Found in the chapter Collecting the Upgrades Before the Four Sword.

Cross the islands to the Mole Mitts cave north of Lake Hylia, take the left path and dig through to the far side. You come out at a stream where a pedestal holds the piece. Needs: Roc’s Cape, Mole Mitts. Found in the chapter Collecting the Upgrades Before the Four Sword.

Fuse a blue piece with the Forest Minish by Mayor Hagen’s house so a beanstalk grows. After the Mole Mitts cave, go back in, climb the ladder at the far end and climb the beanstalk. The cloud holds two chests and the piece. Needs: Roc’s Cape, Mole Mitts, fusion with the Forest Minish. Found in the chapter Collecting the Upgrades Before the Four Sword.

Fuse a red piece with Klaus in the Hyrule Town library; the garden fountain drains. Go down the stairs, jump the gaps past the bees with Roc’s Cape and reach the pots on the far bank, where the piece waits. Needs: Roc’s Cape, fusion with Klaus. Found in the chapter Royal Valley and the Royal Crypt.

After the fusion that opens it, warp to Veil Falls. In the cave pools at the foot of the falls, land has risen from the water and a pedestal on it holds a piece. Keese guard the cave. Needs: Flippers, Kinstone fusion. Found in the chapter Postgame Collectibles and 100% Completion.

Higher up in the same caves, a second piece sits on a narrow ledge, next to a chest that holds 50 Mysterious Shells. Two fusions open the two Veil Falls caves: Gale in the Cloud Tops and the Forest Minish in the north-east of Minish Village. Needs: Flippers, Kinstone fusion. Found in the chapter Postgame Collectibles and 100% Completion.

Near the castle entrance in the north-west of the field, bomb the cracked block by the sign. Climb down the ladder and the stairs; Keese guard the piece below. Needs: Bombs. Found in the chapter Hyrule Town Side Quests and Kinstone Fusions.

Shrink and enter the Minish cave behind the fountain where you found the Power Bracelets, swim across and use Roc’s Cape to glide over the end of the bridge to the west side. Needs: Roc’s Cape, Flippers. Found in the chapter Collecting the Upgrades Before the Four Sword.

In the school, shrink and take the Minish exit at the bottom right to the schoolyard path. Go to the end, split into four Links and push the block. The piece is behind it, along with a couple of chests. Needs: Four Sword. Found in the chapter Postgame Collectibles and 100% Completion.

Collect all 136 figurines from Carlov. The man left of Mama’s Cafe then opens his house, the red-roofed one north of the cafe, and the last Piece of Heart waits on a pedestal in the carpeted room. Needs: Complete figurine set. Found in the chapter Postgame Collectibles and 100% Completion.
