RequirementsParaglider (or a Fairy); Cold Resistance level 2; Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower helps
RewardZakusu Shrine (Proving Grounds) and its Light of Blessing

A treasure hunter named Nazbi tells you a legend: skim across snow from the spring in the sky to the mountain below, passing through rings of light to see the Light of Blessing. Go to the sky island with the spring above Mount Lanayru, activate the ring course and dive through every ring to unlock Zakusu Shrine.

How to start The High Spring and the Light Rings

Nazbi sits beside a fire on the snowy slopes near the Spring of Wisdom, high on Mount Lanayru. Talk to him to hear the legend. The quest does not require talking to him first; the rings work on their own.

The High Spring and the Light Rings walkthrough

Meet Nazbi by the fire

Land beside Nazbi’s campfire near the Spring of Wisdom and talk to him. He repeats the legend of the rings and tells you the spring in the sky is the starting point.

Reach the sky island with the ring terminal

From the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower, launch and glide southeast to the sky island at about (3961, -1539, 1119). The island has a horseshoe-shaped pool and a Sled Shield to the left of the gate. Grab the shield and activate the Dragon Ring terminal at its centre to make the first ring appear.

Dive through the rings

Jump toward the first ring and follow the glowing trail down to the surface, using the paraglider to slow the fall. There are seven rings; each has a time limit shown in the fading runes around it, and missing one means starting again, so save or drop a Travel Medallion first. Shield surf (hold ZL, jump, then press A mid-air) between rings, and open the paraglider before you reach the ground.

Enter Zakusu Shrine

After the final ring, Zakusu Shrine rises from the snow in front of you. Enter it for the Proving Grounds: Ascension trial: your gear is taken and you start with a Wooden Stick (or Sturdy Wooden Stick or Gnarled Wooden Stick, depending on your progress), Old Wooden Shield and Old Wooden Bow, then you must defeat all six Constructs (some Soldier Constructs fire shock arrows) to open the gate to the Light of Blessing. The surface shrine sits at about (3526, -1482, 181).

Rewards

  • Zakusu Shrine and a Light of Blessing.

Tips

Equip glide armour or keep the paraglider ready: you need to slow down to line up with each ring before its timer runs out.
