A beanstalk is a vine that grows from a bean sprout after a successful Kinstone fusion, and it leads up to a cloud with a prize on it. Five fusions grow one, and each reward is on a cloud at the top: a Piece of Heart on three of them, the Bigger Quiver on another, and rupees, shells and a Kinstone piece on the rest. A sixth beanstalk, at the foot of Mt. Crenel, is part of the main story and grows from water instead of a fusion.

The story beanstalk: Mt. Crenel Base
At the base of Mt. Crenel, shrink at the new Minish stone and lift the huge green bean sprout beside the path. Carry it east to the round hole in the soil and throw it in, then grow back, fill a bottle with Crenel Hot Spring Water (from the green spring on the Minish path) and pour it on the sprout. A tall vine climbs the cliff and takes you up to Mt. Crenel proper. You need an Empty Bottle for this, so buy one in Trilby Highlands first. See Ascent to Mount Crenel.
Beanstalks from Kinstone fusions
Mt. Crenel summit: Melari
Fuse a red Kinstone piece with Melari, the Minish smith in the forge of Melari’s Mines, once your Mine trip has taken you up the mountain. Climb to the summit past the stone with the music note, then take the beanstalk at the edge of the summit up to a cloud ringed by eight red rupees. The Piece of Heart on the pedestal completes a Heart Container. See Heart Piece Locations.
Eastern Hills: the mushroom house
Go through the Minish Woods and out into the Eastern Hills to the stump with a red mushroom beside it. Shrink, enter the Forest Minish’s house and fuse a blue piece with his blue piece. A beanstalk sprouts on the grassy cliff below. Climb it to a cloud with a Piece of Heart on a pedestal and a chest of 200 rupees; guides also list 200 Mysterious Shells here. The small cave in the cliff holds a separate chest of 20 Mysterious Shells.
Western Wood: south-west stump
Shrink on the stump in the south-west corner of Western Wood and fuse a blue piece with the Forest Minish. The beanstalk sprouts at the stump, and a Moblin attacks as you grow back. Climb it for rupees and a red Kinstone piece; you can come back later in the game.
Wind Ruins: the stone garden
In the Wind Ruins, go down to the stone-walled garden with stairs and enter the Minish crack to a Forest Minish’s room. Fuse a red piece with his red piece and a beanstalk grows in the garden. Step on the stump to grow, cross the green block maze guarded by Spiny Beetles, and climb. The chest on the cloud holds the Bigger Quiver, which raises the number of arrows you can carry.
Lake Hylia: east shore
Use the stump near Mayor Hagen’s house to shrink, swim north to the Minish crack on the east side of the lake and fuse a blue piece with the Forest Minish. A beanstalk grows in a clearing on the east side. Its base is reached through the Mole Mitts cave: take the ladder at the far end of the cave and climb. The cloud holds two chests (200 rupees and 200 Mysterious Shells) and a Piece of Heart on a pedestal. The Flippers are needed to reach the shore.
