The Goron games sit on East Rolling Ridge, the two shooting galleries are in Lynna Village and the Goron cave, and the Treasure Chest game waits in the secret shop basement in Lynna City. Use the table below to find a game, then read its section for the rules.

Shooting galleries

Both galleries use the same rules. Balls are pitched at you, and you swing your sword to hit them back at the targets. A fairy is worth 100 points, a blue target 30, a red target costs 10 points and an imp costs 50. A miss also costs 50 points. Your prize depends on your total after ten pitches.

The small gallery house is on the main street of Lynna Village in the past. Each try costs 10 Rupees. Score 350 or more for a Magic Ring, 250 to 349 for a Gasha Seed, 150 to 249 for 30 Rupees, 50 to 149 for one Heart, and anything below 50 for nothing. See the Arrival in Labrynna and the Black Tower chapter for the first visit.

The same gallery also gives the Strange Flute, which becomes Ricky’s Flute, for a score of 50 points or more. That flute is the one that brings Ricky along as your companion, so play here if you want Ricky instead of Dimitri or Moosh. The full companion choice is on the Animal Companions page.

In the past, go into the tan wooden building beyond the pink ridge on East Rolling Ridge. The Goron host runs the same ball game for 20 Rupees a try. A score of 100 or more wins the Lava Juice, once only, and you need it for the Letter of Introduction that leads toward the Mermaid Key. A score of 400 or more wins the Boomerang, also once only. Lower scores pay out as follows: over 300 for a Gasha Seed, 200 to 299 for 20 Bombs, 100 to 199 for 30 Rupees, and under 100 for nothing. The East Rolling Ridge and the Mermaid Keys chapter covers the route.

Wild Tokay (past)

On Crescent Island in the past, bomb the wall near the Chicken Hut to open a cave. Inside, pass meat to each Tokay that runs past on the left and right. Give meat to every one and you win; skip a single one and you fail. Each try costs 10 Rupees. The game gets harder the more you win. A Toss Ring helps because it throws meat farther. The prizes, in order, are a Scent Seedling, 20 Rupees, 50 Rupees, a Gasha Seed and then 100 Rupees, which repeats. Each prize except the last can be won only once. The Tingle’s Chart and Crescent Island chapter has the route.

Goron Dance (past and present)

The Goron Dance is held in a dance hall on East Rolling Ridge. It has eight rounds. Press B to move on the rhythm sound and press A to hold a pose on the other sound. Dance well through six rounds to win a prize, and three mistakes end the game. Each try costs 10 Rupees in the present and 20 Rupees in the past.

The first time you win in the present, the prize is the Brother Emblem. The Goron guard at the stairs will not let you pass without it, so this is the first win you need. Later in the past, after you have the Letter of Introduction, the same game gives the Mermaid Key, which you need along with the Old Mermaid Key before you can enter Mermaid’s Cave. The Mermaid’s Cave chapter covers the route.

The top levels pay out Magic Rings. The Bombproof Ring comes from the Gold level in the present. The Platinum level in the past gives a Protection Ring or a Bomber’s Ring, and the Bomber’s Ring is not guaranteed, so you may need to repeat that level. Lower levels pay Rupees and Gasha Seeds.

Target Carts (present)

Pay 10 Rupees at the Target Carts building on the blue ridge of East Rolling Ridge to ride a cart along the rails. Fire the Seed Shooter at the targets while you ride. There are 12 targets. Hitting all 12 is a perfect ride, and your first perfect ride gives you the Rock Brisket, which starts the Goron trade chain. Hitting 9 to 11 targets wins 20 Rupees. Later perfect rides can pay out a Boomerang, a Gasha Seed, 50 Rupees or 100 Rupees, at random. The Rock Brisket is traded to a starving Goron for the Goron Vase, as described in the East Rolling Ridge chapter.

Big Bang Game (present)

Bring the Goronade to the tired Goron in the cave on East Rolling Ridge, and he lets you play the Big Bang Game once for free. Bombs fall all around you. Dodge them or throw them back. One hit ends the game. Each try after the free play costs 10 Rupees. The first win gives the Old Mermaid Key, which you need before Mermaid’s Cave will open. Later wins pay 30 Rupees instead. The other prizes are 100 Rupees, a Gasha Seed and a Magic Ring, usually a Toss Ring or a Quicksand Ring. The route is in the Mermaid’s Cave chapter.

Treasure Chest game (present, Lynna City)

The Treasure Chest game is in the basement of the Lynna City secret shop, and it only starts after you have bought everything the basement shopkeeper sells, for 1,900 Rupees in total. One of each pair of chests holds the treasure. Each try costs 10 Rupees. Open the right chest three times in a row to win a ring; the prize depends on how many correct picks you make in a row. The reach to the basement is described on the Lynna City Secret Shop page.

Patch’s Crazy Cart (past, Restoration Wall)

This is a story game and you can only play it twice. The first time, you repair the Cracked Tuni Nut. Four Red Hardhat Beetles appear, and you knock them into any hole. The second time you repair the Broken Sword, and eight beetles appear. The result is the Tuni Nut the first time and the Noble Sword the second time. The cart does not hit the object while you stand on the switch. The full trade route is on the Lynna Trades and the Noble Sword chapter, and the item list is on Trading Sequence.
